I'm sure they can be, but part of key to making change is to have a real picture and feeling of what you to happen. Allowing yourself to have un-constructive thoughts is fine, or helpful, ponder it for 2 minutes... from then on you can only work on the solution. Find a work around, and spend your time worrying, if that feels comfortable to you, about unique ways of coming up with answers and experiment. You can't overpower or stop your mind you have to ask a better question.

What if the limiting beliefs are somewhat true? Is it still possible to overpower them to get what you want to happen?
