@kray2511 hi there - the solos are taught within the Learn To Play Metallica vol1 as well as all the other guitar parts to the songs. The Solos is a separate DVD if all you want is to learn the solos - on these dvds the instructor teaches the solos at 3 different speeds and you get jam tracks at 3 different speeds to master the solos. This option is not on the learn to play. Hope that answers your question? Let us know if it helps!

The sound is great; do the DVDs also cover gear selection? It would be interesting to know what the original artist uses, along with what the instructor used to replicate the sounds. The later is probably more valuable.

Why people bring up Megadeth on a Metallica video ? Metallica is in the top 3 metal bands of all time no matter what forum or official top you check. Megadeth is... well I'm sure they also have fans. Megadeth just has to little epic songs to compare them to another great band. So stop it.

There are no tabs. They take you through each section very slowly and break it all down into bite size chunks. I can't recommend them highly enough, best tuition DVDs out there by a mile and Danny Gill is an ace teacher.
