@ohSNAPrawr You can use a bigger/wider scarf... if you can't find one, you can always buy a piece of fabric, wide and long enough to recreate this vest in your size... the only thing with buying fabric is, is that you need to hem your piece... other than that, it will be all fine :)

What kind of stitching did you use to sew up the back? It doesn't look like you're holding the sides together but just leaving them flat?

And how exactly are you knotting at the ends? I'm just curious because I saw you do that in your other videos as well and it's different. :D Love this idea!

i believe it's called the "oversewing stitch"? and the ends... i have no idea what that is called... i always sew with double thread... so at the end.. i've cut one thread... and sewed one stitch with only one thread... and knotted the two ends together... hope that makes sense :)
