  • I have a sister in law and a brother and a sister with lung cancer that is malignant...In lympy nodes already. Thank you for your story. I worry about my family. My sister in law had chemo and radiation and my sister started hers today. Thanks again and I hope your lung cancer goes away with the drugs.

  • what was the sign at the bigginig

  • I am sorry, Rob has died of his Lung Cancer. Though I believe the first sign he received was like the flu and a cough he could not get rid of... He went to the doctors, they thought he had phnuemonia, and they did more exams. When it wasn't what they thought it was, they sent him for an mri... thats when they found it. I believe

  • Not sure how I can spred the word a little more about smoking. I know how hard it is to stop, I tried many times. I have always been an active man to a point that I had built a threshold on pain. The pain I experience now is very hard to handle. Day and night I suffer from it. 6 doctors so far and still no relief. I am starting more radiation this week to see if that will help me walk again. Cancer is very painful my friends and you can get it from smoking. I did. Try, Please TRY to stop.

I will keep you in my prayers

  • Good to get an update from you Rob. Glad to hear that you are doing OK. Are you back at work? If so, what an achievement! Take care.

  • August is here and I am still hanging in there. It was tough for me this last week as I was real tired of the doctor visits and treatments. I just wanted it to all go away like it never happened. With cancer, I guess that doesn't happen, I either deal with the chemo or it comes back and I die.

I am feeling good, with the exception of some back pain after a hard day at work. My hair is starting to return on the head. I am having to shave more often too. Thats different.

    So I will continue.

  • The bone scan showed a possible problem in the rib cage area and the doctor said I was anemic, so he had me get a blood transfusion and if I come back to normal then 2 more chemos are to be done. Darn... Then more scans and possible radiation after that. I sure was hoping the chemo was over. Check back next week for an update, Thanks for your support.

  • Thank you all for your support. It's 8 days into the 7th month of knowing about the cancer I have. My doctor took me off the chemo treatments and decided to run a few tests. A full body bone scan and another CT scan. We hope the cancer is gone and I will know more about the results next week. The doctor wants to put me on radiation to make sure the cancer stays away. It's amazing to me that the doctors said I had only 6 months to 2 years to live and I would never ride a bicycle again. WOW!

  • Keep fighting Rob, you're a wonderful and sincere person. God bless you, and best of luck to you.

  • Hey Rob,

    Peace be with you buddy.

    Robyn

  • To the best of you Rob. Keep fighting. LiveStrong

  • All the best to you Rob. You seem like such a kind and open person. Update when you can,

    Amy

  • Fantastic news Rob. I'm thrilled for you - and Buddy.

I'm sure your videos and updates will give lots of fellow sufferers hope. When my brother was first diagnosed about nine months ago, we were offered no hope. Seeing a message like yours would have been a great source of encouragement.Take care.

  • It's the 2nd of june about 6 months into the threat of cancer. The CT scan showed the tumor to be reduced significantly and the doc said I am improving greatly. I have 3 more chemo treatments and another xray ahead of me. I feel strong and ready to go back to work. A miracle in most peoples eyes right now. I guess I shuld say to you if you have cancer, to hang in there, it just might be alright. I am living proof.

  • I did turn 53 on the 21st of May. My how time flies. I am fixin to go through my 5th chemo and had a CT Scan yesterday the 28th of May. I do hope the cancer has become dormat. I feel good and want to go back to my normal life. I will inform you when I have news, stay tuned. Take care

  • Can we hear more? I want to know how you are doing..

  • You've made me cry Rob!

  • Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I am going to do a Lung Cancer presentation for my class and i was hoping that i could talk about your experiences to spread more awareness.

  • That would be wonderful and wish you the best of luck with the presentation, please subscribe to me so you will know when I post updates, Thanks, ROB

  • Hey Rob.I am very sorry for your diagnosis. Just stay positive and be hopeful. My dad has been diagnosed with SCLC last week and it has been very devastating for me and I can hardly focus on my school stuff. However, you can always be positive and remain positive.Stay active and eat healthy. God be with you and remember whatever the destiny is going to happen. You will be fine for sure.If you want to shave your head is also better, it will just get your attention off losing your hair etc.Good luck.

  • hi my name is yoly i dont have lung cancer but my father does have small cell lung cancer. he just turned 68 and just got his 2 chemo but it almost killed him he is still in the hospital going on his 2nd week in there. we as a family have chosen not to give him chemo because its been nasty anyways i hope you well and i wish you last more than 2 years good luck n god bless. what type of lung cancer do you have?

  • Thanks for the comment Yoly, I also have small cell and going through the 3rd treatment now. To bad your dad has to stay in the hospital, as that can be real boring. give him my best and tell him to hang in there. Rob and Buddy
