as far as I know, the copyright disclaimer only works for WMG. anyway to beat EMI or UMG without the copyright disclaimer? The copyright disclaimer only works for EMI for a couple of days then EMI blocks it. I got 2 strikes on my channel where I post guitar covers, I don't wanna risk it being deleted. I used Royalty Free music, but Sony say it's their music. I filled that form and sent it to Youtube, hopefully they turn off the false copyright notice. :-S

When you clicked the video to test it out at 1:34 it said "view dispute status", so this is likely to get blocked again? This is not a permanent fix!?

@TheOriginalBendejo There is a chance it can get blocked again. This is not a permanent fix, but is the closest thing to a fix. There is the possiblity that the copyright holders will dispute your dispute, and permanently disable your audio. It is, however, the only course of action one can take in getting back their audio.

At the time this video was made (couple of years ago), three or so strikes would result in account suspension. Now, however, I do not know what the rules governing this are, as I have seen many channels boasting impressive amounts of copyrighted material.

The law I use to dispute the copyright is a USA law, so it might be that it only fixes the problem in the USA in for some cases. Certain songs have complicated copyrights to them. Sorry I don't think there is anything that can be done about this.

@xSteWyy I actually deleted the video with the audio issue and reloaded the exact same file over again. After that, it just said it detected the copyrighted audio, but said no further action was required on my part. Shop link to itunes comes up during video now. Worked fine... Go figure!

@briannaheartsvideos This depends. If it matches third party content, but they don't delete the audio on your video then keep it. If they delete the audio, you might as well delete the video. What is happening now is that after people dispute, the company is disputing back again.

@briannaheartsvideos I don't think they will, but honestly what happens varies greatly with different record companies. There is always a risk, but from my experience if the record company still wanted it down, they would just get the video permanently removed and make it undisputable. If they do that, don't reupload, because that is how some get suspended. Sorry I can't be more helpful :(

Also since your videos don't get too many views, they might not care. They usually target very high views

@briannaheartsvideos If in the future you have a lot of views, and one of the videos you disputed is flagged for copyright, then you might want to start removing copyrighted audio video.

Or you could just make them "private".

But Youtube has had this "3 strike rule", don't know if they still have it. Just google "Youtube 3 Strikes". Wish I could help but on this question there is not best answer.
