We adopted a wonderful boxer and I've grown to love her too....but each one is so different and our Sparkle is irreplaceable as I am sure your Butkuss is....but there is another four-legged sidekick out there somewhere waiting for you to give it a good home. awww im sorry about ur loss this made me cry. it remined me of when my couzins lost their dog and it was really sad because their dog and mines grew up together and were both best friends (boxers). i was there to say goodbye the night before she die. it was in tears cuz i loved her like my own dog and also because it made me think of my dog. so i know to spend every precious moments with him before he passes wich hopefully wont be soon.

I lost my Oggie Doggie in 2007, (black lab, three legs) in 2008 I got a mini dashund and named him after the deceased comidian Bernie Mac. He is a great dog and I feel the love again. @sleeplesslouise It took me 4 months to realize, I needed another dog. It was the best decision I've ever made! It really helps! You cant help but laugh and smile with a puppy, and the more you do, the more it numbs the pain of loss.
My Heart goes out to you. I had a cairn terrier i had for 12.4 years that passed on 4/7/5 that had gone everywhere with me especially when i was in vending business. I raise springers and Yorkies and it takes a good deal to make me cry.......it was so very well done, and so very, very personal and sweet, the love you felt for butkuss, and wanted everyone to know how special he was, all came through in the video. He was a LUCKY dog. I lost my 16 year old Springer on 9/11/09 and still cant seem to get through a day without thinking of him.....Glad you got another dog, you are right, it helps.
I know what it's like to have a very best friend in a dog, that once in a lifetime dog. I lost mine, my beloved dalmatian Jake in Feb. of 2009. I know the pain, and I feel for you. Wow! He had a great life! I grew up with an English Bulldog named Bruiser. He lived 11 years, too. They really do get into your heart, and I believe that someday people and their animal friends will be reunited again. Maybe somewhere like the "Rainbow Bridge". So sorry for your loss. You gave him a wonderful life, and I believe he knew how much you loved him.

OMG the tears. I've never seen so much love from a guy for his "best friend". Im sorry for your loss....my little furbaby is battling lymphoma and I know he wont be with me for long and I dread the day. I will live "in the moment" with him from here on in.
Nothing can prepare you for the love you feel for a bulldog. and nothing can prepare you for the pain of loosing them. I just lost my Stella two weeks ago tomorrow to liver cancer. She was only 4! Just stopped eating lost weight and that was it. Vet said it was so advanced nothing could be done. I had her put to sleep. The absolute most painful thing I have ever done. But I owed it to her, she gave me nothing but love. I could not let her suffer to give myself a few weeks with her.

What a great guy he was!!! He LOVED his tennis ball as much as my Jack Russell Terriers love their tennis balls. At the end of the video, he was hurting and still went after that ball.

I used to think that all dogs were the same at their core. I was wrong. Bulldogs are the exception. Hundreds of years of breeding them to fight and then another hundred+ years of breeding them to love has built one very unique personality. The bulldog cannot be replaced by any other canine. They are bright shining stars that are only here for a short time and we need to love them with everything we have.

Dogs are so wonderful. I lost all three of mine within about 9 months. They were all about 15 years old. It was heart breaking. My cat also got eaten by a mountain lion....

So sorry for your loss. Bulldogs are some of the greatest creatures on earth. They love their people unconditionally. I have also experienced the pain of losing a bulldog and am now blessed with another one. Glad you have another one too. Treasure your memories forever.

What a beautiful memorial video! My collie died 5/8/10 to bone cancer and this video made me remember the 12 years we had together. How I've cried as I imagine you did for Butkuss. I love how he went with you everywhere, in the car, motorcycle, stroller and loved the bike cart! It's clear to see he was a very, very happy dog with you. It's painful to lose a pet, but I'm sure your new little guys will be going to a very happy home. If you're not already, you will make a great dad someday!

I watched your video today and i can't stop crying. I just lost my baby girl, Cindy, 3 weeks ago. The pain is awful. I don't wish this punishment on anyone. I miss her terribly. She was white and looked much like your Butkuss. I look for answers but i can't seem to find any. All i know is--If my Cindy is not in Heaven, I don't wish to go there at all!

It took me nearly 5 months to get another, now I have 2 Bulldogs, Leonida's and Ms. Piggy. I felt better the day I picked up my puppy Leo. It was the hardest time in my life too! after he passed away, I wanted to honor him, so I made this video and put up a little shrine of him in my living room. Once I did this, I felt better and was able to get another Bulldog puppy.......Best thing I ever did!! I just celebrated my new puppys 1st bday yesterday. It really goes without saying that dogs and man were created in the same stroke of genius. We're just truly inseperable. You were lucky just as much as Butkus was lucky to have you. You two were really meant for each other.
He was so lucky to have been so loved. Many dogs are left outside day and night and even chained up. I am an animal advocate who takes time to stop such terrible crimes against Man's Bestfriend so it warms my heart and brings me to tears to see a man loving HIS bestfriend so very much. Loved the video - seems you had the same bond with you fuzzy kid as I had with mine although as mine grew had to buy a sidecar for my motorcycle in order to take him with - miss him still - he took a part of my soul with him when he went.
I only wish more people had a bond as good as the one you and Butkuss had Brother. We would not have as many lonely dogs in shelters. It was a special one you can tell. I lost my Oggie Doggie in 2007, (black lab, three legs) in 2008 I got a mini dashund and named him after the deceased comidian Bernie Mac. He is a great dog and I feel the love again. Great video and great tribute to your dog. I raise springers and Yorkies and it takes a good deal to make me cry.......it was so very well done, and so very, very personal and sweet, the love you felt for butkuss, and wanted everyone to know how special he was, all came through in the video. He was a LUCKY dog. I lost my 16 year old Springer on 9/11/09 and still cant seem to get through a day without thinking of him.....Glad you got another dog, you are right, it helps.

I know what it's like to have a very best friend in a dog, that once in a lifetime dog. I lost mine, my beloved dalmatian Jake in Feb. of 2009. I know the pain, and I feel for you. Wow! He had a great life! I grew up with an English Bulldog named Bruiser. He lived 11 years, too. They really do get into your heart, and I believe that someday people and their animal friends will be reunited again. Maybe somewhere like the "Rainbow Bridge". So sorry for your loss. Nothing can prepare you for the love you feel for a bulldog. and nothing can prepare you for the pain of loosing them. I just lost my Stella two weeks ago tomorrow to liver cancer. She was only 4! Just stopped eating lost weight and that was it. Vet said it was so advanced nothing could be done. I had her put to sleep. The absolute most painful thing I have ever done. But I owed it to her, she gave me nothing but love. I could not let her suffer to give myself a few weeks with her.

What a great guy he was!!! He LOVED his tennis ball as much as my Jack Russell Terriers love their tennis balls. At the end of the video, he was hurting and still went after that ball.

I used to think that all dogs were the same at their core. I was wrong. Bulldogs are the exception. Hundreds of years of breeding them to fight and then another hundred+ years of breeding them to love has built one very unique personality. The bulldog cannot be replaced by any other canine. They are bright shining stars that are only here for a short time and we need to love them with everything we have.

I've had many wonderful dogs in my life, but there is no dog like a bulldog. They are simply the greatest. If there is a heaven Mack is there. What a beautiful memorial video! My collie died 5/8/10 to bone cancer and this video made me remember the 12 years we had together. How I've cried as I imagine you did for Butkuss. I love how he went with you everywhere, in the car, motorcycle, stroller and loved the bike cart! It's clear to see he was a very, very happy dog with you. It's painful to lose a pet, but I'm sure your new little guys will be going to a very happy home. If you're not already, you will make a great dad someday!

It was the hardest time in my life too! after he passed away, I wanted to honor him, so I made this video and put up a little shrine of him in my living room. Once I did this, I felt better and was able to get another Bulldog puppy.......Best thing I ever did!! I just celebrated my new puppys 1st bday yesterday. He was so lucky to have been so loved. Many dogs are left outside day and night and even chained up. Fantastic video. Sorry for your loss. I lost my American Bulldog two years ago and I still miss her so much! I love the shot of you guys in convertible. The whole video is a great testament to a loyal friend...two loyal friends! Take care and God Bless!

There is a certain feeling when you have your best bud by your side and that can never be replaced once they are gone. But ALWAYS remember, it's better to know that feeling of a great companion than to not know it at all.

What a display of love from Butkuss and from you.Wow what a wonderful friend he was.I lost my Boxer and my Bullmastiff to cancer in the same week. I wish that I had taken videos of them.

Enjoy them while they are with you! I have American Bulldogs and just love them. I lost my favorite two years ago this month. i have yet to find another as unique as my Bonnie!

oh my gosh. what and amazing bulldog. i love how he rode the motorcycle with you. i have an am. bulldog and when i saw your dog laying on the back of the couch it reminded me of him. dogs are really the absolute best! such unconditional love.
