honestly i have a sirious question. how did you get to be going on trips like that? like what does it take? i want to do that so bad!!!! i love fishing with a passion i would give it all to do that but i guess i have alot of time to make decisions right?
hey mate if u get a plane ticket ova here we can take u up to some lakes or realy good rivers to try your luck at getting some fish like thies. lakes normaly smaller fish but ezy to catch rivers bigger fish but harder to see so its harder to catch.
cdcpmddun you are wrong a place we go to regularly just down the road is heaps of easily accessed spots and i me and another guy cought nine trout in two hours and in the north island to
I agree, there are plenty of nice trout in the NZ streams..the backcounty fish are usually untamed also and will take dries with reckless abandonment..In NZ you can go to a stream and catch 15-20 17-23 inch fish a day or to another stream and catch 4-6 huge nice browns in a day, definately well worth the plane ride...Mateo USA
were was that? i fly fish on the west coast of the south island in nz and i can catch 6-8 brown trout in about four hours of fishing, i love that i live in newzealand! best fishing ever!
Arguably some of the best fly fishing in the world for big trout. I've heard though that there are not lots of trout in the NZ rivers and you might get but one or two fish a day. That is a long plane ride and lots of money for just a couple big fish. I'd rather catch a dozen 17" - 23" fish a day, everyday for two weeks.
turangi/taupo holds alot of fish and when running you'd easily get a dozen fish in a few hours. not many over 10 pound tho. best to head to rotorua for those. small stream holds many 20 pound fish, my pb being a 14 pound rainbow caught there last week
I do so miss that incredible country. Go and see it for yourself!
