I think the one thing that makes this song kinda jazz blusey is your voice and the melody. You use some of the jazz ideas with the minor thirds and what not.

Chord wise if you experiment with 7th chords you might have a better feel for the sound you are looking for.

Quick fix.. have an upright bass in the background pluckin around. <that'd be pimp.
