As for my beginnings on Youtube, I remember coming across a link to the site in late 2006 and it seemed like a cool place to watch funny clips. But for awhile I wasn't coming to Youtube very often. It wasn't really until Daxflame was featured on the main page in early 2007 that I realized there was a fun community springing up based around alternative comedy and vlogs.

This is sort of a nice transitional video: taking a look back at the past and looking forward to the future of Youtube. It kind of feels like the entire site is in that mode right now. I may decide to really get involved in the community after I finish grad school in a few months, or I may realize I don't have time. Haven't decided yet.
