I have done some surfing on here... and i must say.. that you are prob the best I have heard... and it is played as it should be... firstly on a true organ... not a synthetic version, from an electric keyboard, in some old fogies bedroom... but a true pipe organ, with the full spectrum of pipe-sound... and with bass pipes that vibrate the floor ! VERY well done ! And you are / were HOW old when you did this?
Hej...Divine-so well done &, enthusiastically so, for such a young fella...lol...seriously, very well done...you seem to have a passion for the pipe organ. I see ur Swedish?. I am part Swedish also.
My relatives are in Husqvarna & surrounding areas of Sweden...my Greats were all from Narke/Jonkoping/Ostergotland areas...the main ones, that is. I keep hearing this March deep in my spirit, off & on. I've never been married...what do you think that might mean?
So beautiful... I'm organ player and I'm happy to see how the northern countries like Danemark, Germany or Sweden have young organ players like you. In France unfortunately we haven't so much young organists. Thank you for beeing talented !
I visited this church this Midsummer. The organist gave a guided tour of the instrument. It is quite impressive! In spite of the rather smallish looking facade, preserved from an older instrument, it has 56 stops and 77 ranks of pipes - including two independent 32 feet pedal stops. I mentioned this clip to the organist and the church staff. They were well aware of it and quite proud of you.
You are very, very good!! Remarkable talent in a teenager! I hope you continue on with music because you will be a great asset. Really beautifully done. Anyone who isn't familiar with a pipe organ is probably unaware how much there is to know and do at one time. Remarkable.
WOW. That was fabulous. I admire your dedication and mastery of this beautiful instrument. Keep it up. May God bless you in your service to the church.
I am getting married in July. I am a member of an excellent choir made up of boys and men, but I can't decide what organ music to choose for the processional Help ! Decani Rob.

Åh, how thrild I'am to se someone else than a old, old man sitt'n on the organbench :) I do also play organ myself and I'am 17, and live in Norway. started this atum. But been playing piano since age of 14 :) I'am also playing this pice, and it's so much fun !! I can say that those how think playing the organ is boring or strange in some kind of way - you are missing a very giving, funny part of your life!! I love to play the organ <3 And you who is playing inthis video is a good organist :)
Very good, energetic performance, and quite impressive for your age. I was a church organist as a teenager also. (Many years ago) Best of luck to you always!
Who cares if there were mistakes. Some of the very best organist still make mistakes and it is only human. I think you did a fine job and that organ is beautiful. As for you being only 16, my hat is off to you, you are a very fine organist. Keep up the great work. The sound really was not too bad. In my book 5 stars out of 5.
Actually I think a lot of people will have respect for someone aged 16 who is able to play like you do ! It's great and I guess the world will hear a lot more from you ;) In the Netherlands there's a rich history of great organists who started at a young age. At least when you're 80 years or older you'll be in top shape ;) I started to play the Cavaille-Coll organ of the Notre Dame 1,5 years ago and I'm 29 now. I started piano when I was 8. And then things went out of hand ;)
I really want to learn how to play pipe organs... i can handle decently keyboards and pianos I play organ pieces in keyboard but is not the same as the majestic pipe organ
Thanks. I enjoyed hearing this. I am an organist myself, started when I was 9 years, I am 71 now! I was married exactly a year ago today (second time for us both!) and we had a very quiet day, only one guest and no music. BUT the next Sunday, after the morning service, I played this as everyone left the church, to applause from all and my new wife's delight..
have a happy life playing the King of Instruments my friend.
wow thats really cool. i played first time organ when i was 15 too^^ now, 1 year later i start to play services too, but i dont think that i will be as good as you :p you are pro man 5*
Interesting - I have played in the church since I was 14, but was never asked to play this piece - next saturday I will, just listening in to see how others play this simple little piece, beautifull! The organ is also really nice, nice sound!
i think it should be very much slower... its almost annoying how fast it goes... but that just what i think... great vid! ur hecka lucky to be able to have access to an organ like that DX
I don't find that awkward at all that you are only 16 and playing the organ for all sorts of services, I started playing in church when I was 11 and haven't stopped since. Great talent you have and your doing your duty by using it! kudos!
Wow! This is wonderful! I too am a young church musician, I started playing organ when I was 14 and have since switched over to song leading. I kind of get nervous on the organ but I am practicing again and trying so very hard to get the foot pedals mastered. Its so hard for me, i guess you could say I have bad finger/foot coordination. Lol. Thank you for playing this as well, It is a song I am learning to play for a wedding this summer!
Good! Very, very good! Its nice to hear!! Mir hats sehr gefallen, weiter so, "Kleiner"! Vor so einem fleißigen Jugendlichen ziehe ich mit meinen 51 Jahren gerne den Hut! Hast du gut gemacht!
I have to ask, but how old are you? I was an organist off and on for almost 10 years, so I love seeing young ones up and comes or so accomplished in your regard.
Very good. American versions play it much too slow (for some reason Americans slow down every emotional song to milk it dry - Americans are the most emotional people in the western world!). Europe is still the cultural capital of the world.
@jlandles you are right about that american banalization, but almost all the european clasical recordigns are slower than this version. Is not about feellings, is about candence and fluctuation. You can play it faster or slower, but if you don't focus in the variations sounds very flat. I think that in this case can be pulled.
Anyway, is the best played organ version that I hearded in youtube.
@jlandles As an American, I don't disagree that our mainstream romantic music drips with such slow sugary syrup as to make one's soul diabetic. However, in this instance, the music is slowed down so the wedding party can get from the front of the church, to the receiving line in the back of the church, without anyone feeling uncomfortably rushed.
Wouldn't you agree that a truly advanced culture is mature enough not to over-generalize the cultures of other nations? It seems so obvious...
@scooterdooter Yet you generalise regarding the nature of "advancement" of culture! Who is to say your idea of "advanced" is shared by others? That's the problem with appealing to a supposedly universal idea in order to reject other's views, my friend. It's innately self-contradictory.
Brings tears to my eyes - with sheer emotion. Maybe if I play this often enough between now and the beginning of September I might manage not to cry when my son gets married .
hi i can understand how you feel! when ever i hear this or wagner bridal and handel largo it just breaks me inside, as all thought i had get devorced the music brings back bitter sweet memories
You are absolutly amazing. Truly gifted! And what a BEAUTIFUL pipe organ. Next time I visit Sweden, I am going to make a trip to see that. And would love to sit back and listen to you. Keep up the good work!!!
You are an extremely talented and mature 16 year old. Very few people your age have the maturity to play at church services, much less as the organist! At 20, I dream of doing what already do; I want to be a church organist. God bless you!
in only one year so good.... thats really really good... i'm also 16, but i'm learing since 5 years playing organ... I'mplaying services since 2 years.
A little fast, huh ? The following is true - I was there, in church, before the start of a wedding. I knew something was going down because this couple was not among the sharpest tools in the shed. The organ began playing the opening theme from Chariots of Fire. The wedding party jogged to the altar. All of them adjusted their gowns, tuxes, etc. to make sure you could see their running shoes. I don't know if the minister knew ahead of time, if they were trying to make a statement, etc.
That's awesome! I can't stop hearing it, over and over. Could you please put a high-quality video of this? Perhaps a re-record if you have time? It would be very nice!
Pretty cool! I'm playing the organ since kindergarten (6 years), but I didn't make a performance because I was focused on my second instrument: the Violin
I have done some surfing on here... and i must say.. that you are prob the best I have heard... and it is played as it should be... firstly on a true organ... not a synthetic version, from an electric keyboard, in some old fogies bedroom... but a true pipe organ, with the full spectrum of pipe-sound... and with bass pipes that vibrate the floor ! cos of the mistakes you yourself admit to.
But at least be honest to people who don't play like myself
And follow that up with the fact you've been playing piano for a lot longer than that!

Brings tears to my eyes - with sheer emotion. Maybe if I play this often enough between now and the beginning of September I might manage not to cry when my son gets married .

It would be very nice!

he never claimed this is his house though

Pretty cool! I'm playing the organ since kindergarten (6 years), but I didn't make a performance because I was focused on my second instrument: the Violin
