Its such a shame to see this video. i live rite next to it and I ride aswell. I will never pay to ride in the trails I helped buld years ago. and rode for free. people dont even ride these trails hard the way they used to. A lot of talent went through those trails. I ride almost every day and hardly see a soul. its sad. Ride Free or Die trying... Peace
i was confused there for a min, i live in wellsville NY. Cant go far here either without a state boy or a dec officer on your tail. 10 years ago it was never like that. New land owners, kids flying down roads, all lead up to what it is now. you know whats really ironic? andover NY is the next town over, and i have been to andover OH for some indoor motocross. Guess i should go to wellsville OH to make it complete
i had a race out at wellsville OH if you like riding trails i can look for the guys number and if u give him a call and a couple bucks he'll let you park and ride for the day. there harescramble trails so no cops
Actually only the lower part of wellsville is going to be shutdown ( 20 to 25% of the riding area ). Riding in wellsville is actually very safe. There are many young kids that ride out there with no problems at all. Very few people get seriously hurt riding at wellsville. There is just as much risk of getting hurt riding at M&M as anywhere else. M&M is just a place where city people go to ride cause they cant ride on real trails and climb real hills, not man made hills like M&M has.
The only thing that M & M is good for is the mud. The hillclimbs and things for the sport quads and dirt bikes are a joke. I was riding that property waaaaaay before M & M came around and it wasnt that good then and all they did was make things easier. As for the mine riding it was alot more fun then because you didnt have a guide to take you throught it. You could go where you wanted and as fast as you wanted. You want REAL riding thats ALOT cheaper go to Wellsville, OH ( Yellowcreek )
Nobody would be riding the property if the current owner didn't spend 2 million to purchase it. Like everywhere else, it would have been patroled any you would have received a fine. Yellowcreek is being shut down. It's a great place if you want to watch cars burn and tolerate a bunch of drunk idiots putting themselves and everyone else in harms way. To each his own I guess.
actually alot of people would still be riding the property, i mean it wasnt nothin great but it was something to do. Many of those trails were already there before M&M bought it. They just made everything easier and made the prices outrageous. Im not going to pay prices like that to ride my quad and dirtbike in a place that my lawntractor could go. I like to ride places that require at least a little bit of skill. I actually plan on going there this spring just to see how easy it really is.
Well I hope you come back and check us out. We've put in a bunch of new trails, and AWRCS built some trails last year for their race that are more challenging. We have to charge a riding fee due to the million dollar + mortgage. If we could, riding would be free because at the end of the day we just want people to enjoy the sport as much as we do. I'm there almost everyday, please mention this post and introduce yourself. I'd love more feedback after your ride - Christine
