  • Second Life is lagging like hell ....

Man I played Shogun 2 total war . Arma 2 , Gta IV without any lag and this shit takes ages to load . I uninstalled this game already. Crap game

  • Great video- Thanks!!

  • This is great and more needs to be seen of this.

  • Cool!!

  • I tought this can't be possible, but now I've seen everything. :P

  • oo you should try playing this game it would scare the crap out of you to see this avatars images and movement

  • Thank you for this summary which I'll be able to pass on to the people teaches bioscience in the nursing and midwifery programs I am associated with.

  • Thank you for the kind and relevant comment, Sarah. :) I keep hoping to update this, but I don't have all the skills to do it alone. Someday ...

  • I was thinking that the site where you go through the blood stream would fit nicely here too.

I want to learn about filming inside SL too, so anything you learn...let me know too :)

  • Oh, that is a good one! And now we have the Testis model, nanotech island, the SciLands have expanded hugely, there is an embarrassment of riches!

  • THIS is fake? or it looks like fake xD

  • wow amazing !!

  • Hello...

How i make Second Life videos???

  • very very very funny it had a picture of homer simpsons head but do u hafto buy this game

  • Wow! How flattering - thank you!

  • THIS IS REALLY COOL, AMAZING, AND INSPIRING!

Excuse the all capital letters sentence but I'm truly enthralled by this.

  • Did she mean Wollengong? Because the way she said didn't seem very convincing.

  • Wollagong is the location in Australia.

  • I made a typo, I meant Wollongong - but I guess she's talking about somewhere else.

  • You're right. :) I had not seen it written down that way (but had seen people in SL write out the other), but had heard her say it. Hopefully the idea came across anyway ... The point was that people from the US, Canada, Europe and Australia can participate in events at the same time. :)

  • @modernclics The Weather thing is several places in SL, but you might want to start with the NOAA. @rashford, I agree completely, but it requires administrative support. We are working on it and have a couple people interested in redoing this. @macintard - thank you. High praise indeed!

  • Thanks for this video. I'm saving it to my iPod Touch!

  • Thanks, great job! And very informative, Perplexity. I would love to see a newer version from you :)

It seems much more has been added to SL in the sciences during the last year. Would you agree?

  • Where can i find that weather thing?

  • Hi, CroDigTap! There is (in most versions of the Second Life client) an option under FILE to save video to hard drive. Three of us made this one. I grabbed the machinima (about 1.5 hours of raw footage to edit into this 3 minute video), producer organizer, pro editor added text transitions etc. There are classes on machinima inworld. Ask HVX Silverstar when she is teaching one again. :)

  • Amazing! I will have to go check out these places soon. How did you make the video in SL, Lexi? I'd love to know how it is done! Thanks for posting!

  • Hi, Cyndi! Thank you so much for the kind words. We were hoping to gain admin support with this also. Meanwhile, even if they unlock it, be sure to pretest. We found layers of access problems, most related to the need to have adjacent pipes/ports open to enable teleporting. Getting in is one problem, teleporting is an entirely other issue. Good luck!

  • What a great video! I just found it.You did a great job. I think I will send it to my boss, who won't unblock SL for even an hour to show my adolescent brain model. Cyndi Uriza in SL

  • Thank you so much! I am trying to learn enough that I can do a sequel on my own. Most of the highlighted locations are still there, but a few have changed locations.

  • Amazing. I sent this to the science teachers at my online high school. Thanks for putting this video together.

  • Thanks for ur intros.

  • Thank you *SO* much! My first try, and using the finger mousepad of my laptop. It can only get better - right?

  • Great machinima, Perplexity!!!

  • Many thanks, JoKay! Means a lot coming from you. :)

  • Congrats Lexi! A great overview. I am adding a link to it from our resource! ;)

  • Many thanks!

  • Cool. Excellent introduction to science on 2nd life.
