  • This was our first dance when we got married nearly 17yrs ago, and I still love it. xxx

  • These guys had talent by the bucket.and all we get on tv is a load of shite.

I would have love to have had a beer or three with these guys..

  • @xxxlnoone I've had a beer with these guys back in the late 70's, early 80's. even got to ride on their tour bus to Oklahoma City for another concert. they use to come to Wichita Ks every summer and play @ The Magic Machine, for about 3 yrs solid. They're an awesome group and even more humble about their fame than most bands. They just a bunch of down home country boys at heart.

  • Love these dudes....... and it would be an honor to have dinner, we aint so fancy round ere'.... Kidding, yeah- not really we poor, but we can cook-- sometimes-- lol

  • Gttdtk: I had a similar experience with Mr. Locorriere. The voice is great and the music is great, but his people skills need some serious work. He needs to realize that without fans, he doesn't have a career.

  • thank you for posting this many years ago this was my bridal waltz. hubby and i both still love this song and when we re do our marriage vows this will be played yet again .

  • They are allo special songs, but this one pulls at my heart more and more each time I hear it

  • @kevindrds07 Mate you are a champ. look to the future.

  • Don’t send Dennis Locorriere fan mail. I did, and his answer was very rude. Made me want to cry to realize that the spirit of the person didn’t match the lovely voice. I can only guess that the reason he lives in the U.K. is because he has insulted the whole North American continent. It is a pity; with his talent, he should be on top of the charts. But now you know the rest of the story. My esteem for the rest of the band went up about 100 notches, since they had to tolerate him for 15 years.

  • @gttdkt

I've been a fan of Dr Hook and more so of Dennis Locorriere for years - and have written many posts on his web site, which Dennis has always taken time to respond to - I've also met him twice within the last year and although I did not know what to expect - he made my heart melt - he asked how I was, did I enjoy the concert, would I like my picture signed, did I want a photograph taken with him - he was just so polite and accommodating

  • @gttdkt I got a really great reply from Dennis, myself. Maybe you offended him.

  • @MegaBabyRox Yes, I guess I did. I didn't mean to. I think he is sensitive about the Dr. Hook days. Not to take away from his beautiful voice. He is second to none.

  • to my lady and true love

  • oh yes, wanting you years from now babe, as always x

  • If i ever get married this would be the perfect wedding/anniversary song i will be playing for my wife.... Years from now... ^_- Such a immortal song that will forever be in my heart...

  • Im 29 and ive loved Dr Hook since i was a little nipper thanks to my Mum xXx

  • great song dr hook the best

  • OMG--we were so young in the 70's and we are still together 40 years later. thanks

  • Think I've changed my mind!!This is my wedding song!!

  • Went to see Dennis Locorriere on my birthday 9th March this year at The Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. Andy Fairweather Low was appearing with him. Had a fabulous evening. Dennis is as good as ever. Saw him 10 years ago at The Brentwood Centre. I just love Dr Hook! Never got to see them as a band though. At the Brentwood Centre Benny Gallagher from the Gallagher Brothers sang with him and a couple of other famous band members, I think the drummer was from Dire Straits.

  • Dr Hook makes some of the most Beautiful songs. [Go to go, the wifes feeling frisky]. Thanks Doc.

  • I sooo love this...I saw Dennis at Southport Theatre in 2007 and he was a blast...Great Guy and wonderful entertainer x

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Dennis live this year. I actually went to see Andy Fairweather Low, who was on tour with him. AFL was brilliant and so, to my surprise, was DL. I'd never really taken much notice of his music. Now I can't get enough of them.

  • That was the time when songs contained great exciting arrangement, riffs harmonies end melodies.... Love the band ,,,,,,would appreciate your comment

  • This never used to be my fave Dr. Hook song. But over the past few months it has surplnated the much over used Sylvia's Mother. This one I think is much more beautiful and really can can be used for weddings or funerals either way it tells someone you will always love them no matter what.

  • @MsJacqui66 - This was our bridal walz song on 25/06/1988 ... Yep, and we too are doing just fine ... I was ever so pleased Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman chose 25 June for their wedding day too - We made sure we celebrated on their special day too ... I am a huge KU fan and think Nic has brought something very special to his life ...

  • @littemissm0jo What a beautiful idea! I hope it turned out well!

  • love this song

  • Whoever said a voice can't define a group never heard Dennis Locorriere sing. He was Dr. Hook!

  • funny u should mention that all this time i thought ray was the lead vocal

  • Maybe I was a bit too rushed in my opinion earlier....Dennis and Ray were both excellent frontmen who shared the singing duties on a lot of their hits. Maybe it was because I can remember Dennis singing more often than Ray back in the day.
