I think the next step for Lotus is singing. With a song like this, there are original lyrics, and they should be sung, not sampled. Certainly these guys are talented enough to learn to sing it live. I love this song, but it would be more awesome if they sung it live. DO IT LIVE!
@Umberto2 The lyrics are sung by Steve Yutzy-Burkey from The Swimmers (also sampled on Non-Stop to SF, Dissapear in a Blood Red Sky, Turqoise, & Tip of the Toungue to name a few). I think it would be cool to see them sing, but I assume there is a reaon they don't. Closest they get to actually singing is Luke synthesizing his voice on Bellwether. Again I thnk it would be interesting to see how they would sound and who would be the lead voice. My only fear is it ends up like the Biscuits haha.
@blindmonkey1434 Thanks for the info. I had no idea. I knew they were sung by someone real and I had no idea if it was a Lotus member or what. Yeah, I hear ya. By the way, I saw them on Sunday at the Independent in SF - AMAZING!
@Umberto2 yea that set was killer. This whole tour they have been on fire ever since Chuck came back. I have seen Lotus over a dozen times and have had the great pleasure to meet all the band members. They couldn't be a more down to earth group of dudes. I will be seeing them for NYE in Phlly which will be my 3rd year in a row doing it. I highly suggest doing Summerdance next year if you can make it. Literally was the best time I ever had over a weekend. Lotus fans are the nicest people!!!
