There is nothing like a German car, made in the 80's. My beloved 1989 325i was still doing strong in 2007, with over 250,000 miles on it. A falling tree took my baby from me, otherwise, I'd be driving it still. E30 3 series were the best that BMW has ever put out, or will ever put out. I am currently driving a 2008 328xi, as nice as it is; the e90 can't hold a candle to the supreme e30. I am going to look for a mint condition e30 once my current car is paid off. I'll restore one if need be
i have a 89 325i, had it for 4 years now almost 5, and i love it, was gonna get another car and sell it, but just cant do i, love it too much, its just soo sexy to me
I have a jan 1986 320i and I have to say I've never ever turned the radio on, such great are the driving feelings and the engine sound. E30 for life!!!
@jimlundy9090 I agree -partly. I have a 1987 325eta with a 1994 Vanos M50 (E36) engine chipped ECU 195BHP. Lots of suspension and various mods all tasteful. Best of both worlds E30 + E36. It is the E30 BMW should have built! E30 for life!
i think the e30 body and drivetrains r a footprint for performance and style for bmw...im the proud owner of a 1990 325i cabrio w/ the 2.5l inline six...
very nice video.. :) thanks for uploading it. but...... the e30 did have standard abs since 1986 in the us and could be asked with airbag... so..... correction there.. but other than that Very nice!
I love my 325i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $150 and add around 9hp in the six-cylinder E30s and a bit less in the 318. That's the best value per HP gain... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:
I have a 1990 325is e30 and it does have a drivers air bag and when its cold out theres a chime that beeps a warning of possible ice, but yes its pretty simple of a car but a blast to drive! and also gets many compliments.
Excellent video,., he said wasn't getting 30mpg combine ?? Hwy/ city driving?? Well is a real nice video.. Hey lonestarboy I'll sell you 87/325is 5spd?? Plano,tx

I'm completely in love with BMWs of this era, but finding somebody with one of these who would let me take their pride and joy out for filming is another matter. Any ideas?
@alexxxxxx85 Try MyE28.com for the E28's, there are a few British members there. Try BigCoupe.com for the 6'ers. Not sure what you'd have to do to get hold of an E23. Buy one, perhaps? I'd love to help, but I'm in the US, so my E28 is of no use to you.
Oh, also, the E30 came out in 1984, not 1982. The E28, however, was built from 1982 to 1988.
@Asserti oh sorry mr smarty pants did is say all e30's have abs? This guy simply says e30's do not have abs and every e30 ive delt with has had abs no need to get your panties in a bundle :)
@jlubez rofl. Again, get your facts. The guy says that the car he's driving doesn't have traction control, ABS, ... He is the one who doesn't say "e30's do not have abs", but you are the one who says "e30's have abs"
When one makes such a statement, people usually assumes that when you refer to the group, you mean the whole group.
It's like saying "people are ginger". That's incorrect, not all people are. (Nothing against gingers :D)
@Destructo93 If you're after something like this, £8-900 will suffice. Join a forum like the E30 Zone where you'll find some of the best examples for sale and a wealth of advice from other owners. Enjoy E30 ownership!
