I've made one of these jigs. Much safer than the original tablesaw setup. The plans come with years of distiilled ingenuity and wood machining know how.
I must admit , Glenmorangie is one of my favorites while cutting cabinet doors on a cold winter's night in my woodstove heated shop up here in Canada . There are not many finer things than the smell of Manitoba maple being cut combined with a sip or two of this beautiful scotch . Of course after your cuts are done .
He must be a die hard . I have a feeling we will see him in a wheelchair missing his left hand demonstrating a new jig . Too easy to fall face first on this tool .
Did you read the note of the 4 th April 2007 for visual effects not all of the safety devices were installed or utilized, please check out the safety devices in operation in the other videos. slainte mahth macduff

It took me a while to figure out what the purpose of this thing was. Now I see that it is just a device to make a little saw act like a big one. Good for the job site I guess but all my work is in the shop with a full size saw.
This at least is a video, not just still photos with a sound track. It is a fair presentation of the idea of cutting huge sheets of plywood on a little bench saw. For me, it convinces me to use a great straightedge instead. I really don't think he intended that outcome but if he can't make it look any safer than the pushing and shoving and reaching over the blade with dangling sunglasses on a lanyard -- there's not much further to go with this model.
To continue, macduff never every puts pressure on the waste material( this is what causes pinching) only guides it, when cut is about complete ,you twist it slightly to the left to keep the kerf open, If the waste material is really small leave your left hand off it all together. slainte mhath
NHPUMV With large sheet material your hands are never that near the blade, was for more of a clear view, the splitter was in place, the over head guard was later installed which obstructed the clear view, later the over head support bar was in place, this in it's self is preventative to prevent blade contact, notice how the hand has a slight waiver when reaching the bar this makes you think on your next move. see the action of macduff's left hand. DOF is deceiving.

Don't pay any attention to the whiney weanies who've never worked with a saw before.
More upclose views of the Jig would be better than just seeing you cut over and over.
You never really show the unit at all, just cutting and cutting.

impossible, macduff has krazy glue on the soles of his boots and an invisible see through thread tied to the balcony rail at the back

Very unsafe demostration.
That's not the way to teach people how to work.
