this is no way emo. Clearly people who think it is have never heard some of the bands that are around these days.... mmmm Blood on the Dance Floor, aka they are an atrocity.
this song is irrefutable from a woman to a man, so i have no idea why MALES cover this song... unless everyone is singing to a gay lover who turned straight on them. i don't get it lol.
I Didnt Give Myself this Name, Its My Friends Profile. Ill use it To Say That This Sucks. I Do Believe In God Though And I Think Hes Got Bigger Things To Worry About Than A Combination Of Sounds To Express A Feeling.
okay romans 10:9 says "that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved"
seriously dont go quoting the bible as your name and then say stuff like "this shit sucks"
James 1:26 says "if anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tounge but decieves his own heart, this one's religion is useless"
"Oh, Mankind, rejoice in the apathy of our creator, for it makes us free and truthful and dignified at last." Rev. C. Horner Redwine from Kurt Vonnegut's "Sirens of Titan". The last thing you should be doing in a comment thread about musical expression is arguing over religion. You're both hypocrites, because you claim to enjoy music and have preference, and yet you allow yourselves to be weighed down by your superstitions. You're judging, which I do believe is your "god's" duty, not yours.
You must not play bass. Go listen to the bass in the original. That's FLEA! You may not even care. But here's a hint for the future: the tempo has nothing to do with how good a song is. Passion is a very important thing to me though and just because a person is screaming their ass off for a full song doesn't mean there was any passion in it at all. Not saying that you can't scream and be passionate as well, because you definitely can. John Frusciante does it all the time.
i know who flea is... and yes ive listened to the bass line, but i dont listen to moriesette songs because a red hot chilli pepper is in it, flea is cool, but the bass line alone doesnt make it better than this, but from a vocal stand point, killing moon's vocalist put way more pation in it that morisette, theres no denying it, she just didnt put much balls in it haha
Well, your completely entitled to your opinion. I like the original more. But not All for the bass. I guess it's just what I'm used to. Plus I'm not really to into this type of singing.
Seriously she had no passion? o.o The fuck did you do, just look at the song on the internet?
She put more passion in the song this band.
And you do realize that if they did have more passion, I supposed they beleived that they could satisfy a man in a theater better than a woman. The song's from a woman's point of veiw about getting dumbed for another woman.
The original by Alanis Morissette is much better, but it's an interesting interpretation. Nobody can sing as awesome as Alanis in a crazy pissed off voice, she adds subtle bits that add texture throughout her singing of it.

It may have lyrics for a woman to sing, but I like it better when a guy, or this guy, sings it. I think Alanis Morisette sucks

I love that they didn't change the lyrics. I love this version. Since when does a song have to make sense to be good.

The lyrics only really fit a girl singer... unless the male singer and the other dude were gay and one of them suddenly turned straight...

And your adding to the conversation. If I do my math right, I believe that makes 3 hypocrites. How about we all just enjoy the music?

Not in my opinion, But your entitled to yours as well.

morrisette's tempo is so slow, and she has no passion behind her voice in this song, this one is way more powerful
i dont see how anyone could disagree

This is, like, 400,000,000,000,000 times better than Alanis Morrisette's version. I like both, but this is soooooooo much better. :P
