roughly 0-60 in 6.5 thats what my N/A gt does. if this car had 3.29 gears it could do 6.2 easy

i want to buy a used 99 grand prix gt. can any one tell me if they are reliable with 140,000 miles on it?

@graffwriter17 mines got 215,000 on it, and its also the fastest gt in parkersburg. original motor and its a 98. id say if you have the chance to buy a grand prix, do it. theyre great cars. keep up with the recalls though. my 98 was recalled for the fuel lines, i guess a lot of them caught on fire. but i think that was only a 97-98 recall

@graffwriter17 regular maintenance, also the upper intake needs replaced about every 100,000 miles or so. it costs $60 bucks from zzperformance, and it takes about half an hour to swap out if you know what your doing. about an hour and a half if youve never done it before

@graffwriter17 97-03 are all great years, but i would personally shoot for a 98. if your into modding i wouldnt buy a 97, but if your looking for a reliable car then 97 is fine.

@knaxon they have a vacuum activated transmision instead of a fly by wire transmission, which makes the vacuum system more prone to failure if you hot rod them. ive never seen a heavily modded 97 that didnt have the trans swapped out for something more reliable

@stickit2damanleosis i endd up buyn a 99 buick regal it has the 3800 engine in it. 150 miles but runs perfect like new. i put over 900 miles on it in two weeks hah i was abusing it a little . then i fucked it up on a curb bc i decided to power slide all day hah then befor i was goin home i decided a lilk late to hit a right turn and could slide enough haha so its gettn fixed ,

for 1500.a mechanic is replacing the a frame, and gunna replace the rims and get new tires, thn change the trans fluid

@NWO41508 Yes it makes a big difference if you're driving hard. Thats a piece of plastic with insulation under it trapping heat in the supercharger. All the air that goes into your engine has to run thru the blower, so a cool blower is obviously better for internal engine temps.

it depends upon ur drive. when I was driving to school and back, i got 14 mpg, but when on the expressway i got about 30 mpg. I would check the fuel filter and the air filter. if those are blocked up it will lower mpg.
