I think you are wrong: I have listened to the song you mentioned, and it has nothing to do with this one. Moreover, the Rose of Versailles original soundtrack was released as well as the anime on 1979, while the song you mentioned dates back to 1985. So it is the way around perhaps, the original it's this one and the song Macumba is inspired to Hoshi ni naru futari. But personally I think it has nothing to do with this song!
