dakota digital makes a pretty nice interface that (if i remember correctly) plugs into the existing body harness (where the factory dash plugs in). I had to run wires for the oil pressure and the vss (vehicle speed signal).
The vss was easy for me to hook up because I am running an lt1 and with a 4l60e transmission, and all I had to do was run the vss signal wire from the pcm. If your running a older style transmission dakota digital also sends a transmission sensor and gear position sensor as well as an interface box. That looked rather confusing to hook up, but I did not have to.
How was the fitment of the 4L60E in the 1964 impala?
Did you have to modify any of the floor? or did if fit perfectly?
Sounds great btw!
