my parents had a couple VHS tapes of this for me, I loved watching it as a kid. I think they also had an Arabic dubbed Voltron tape as well.

I remember Captain Majid... it was pretty much one of the biggest Anime hits in the Middle East. I learned only very recently that the original name in Japan was Captain Tsubasa. The most interesting thing is, the reason why they called him Majid was because they named him after a real life Saudi Arabian football player, Majed Abdullah, who was one of the best players in history of the country.

I used to watch Grandizer some 18 years ago when I was a kid I Kuwait, today I still remember the lyrics of the opener and can sing it easily. Boy I loved this show way too much and became a Pilot today because of it.

My wife is japanese and I grew up in Beirut watching this. We are comparing the japanese opener with the arabic one. The arabic opener is faster with more action, but the japanese opener have more style.
