  • The actor playing Bertie is a virtuoso. It takes genius to portray that level of idiocy.

  • Oh, how I'd love to have Jeeves as my personal Valet! Very enjoyable show! Oh, and I would like to mention how exceptionally gorgeous Stephen looks in those clothes:)

  • Thanks for uploading. I cherish anything Wodehouse.

  • cats, fish and a hat. Dr Seus must have read Wodehouse.

  • I never knew this gem of a show existed. Thank you for uploading!!!!

Oh and love your comments too :o)

  • It's all lovely. Quite lovely.

  • Jeeves placing Sir Glossop's hat back on as he backs out the door. Lovely.

  • "You rang, sir?"

"Were you making a noise like a cat?"

"No sir. Will that be all?"

    Priceless xD.

  • thanks for posting, I've been wanting to check these out but have been wishy washy about committing to renting/buying them.

  • I've done the chair swapping thing so many times in class. It's so funny to piss off my Geography Teacher.

  • Jeeves is indeed a "bit of a marvel".

  • A cat, a hat, and a fish....

  • Hey Wolf...thanks a ton for W & J...the entire lot..I've been a PGW fan for almost forty years now...r u a member of da Jeeves club ? laff...ty again...

  • "And the small lemon-coloured animal, sir." I DIED of cuteness :)

  • Jeeves: Ninja/Batman/Superman/Gumshoe

  • Poor Bertie. So misunderstood.

  • "Jeeves?!" *fwoosh* "You called, sir?"

    Jeeves is Batman. (AND Alfred.)

  • @HaleyPfifer AND Sherlock Holmes, just for good measure (or perhaps Poirot would be more time-line appropriate)

  • Thanks for the posting. They were good when I first saw them, and they seem to have retained their attraction!

  • Love Jeeves smirk in the background as he materialises into the room

  • ::swoop:: You called, Sir?

  • So did Jeeves stay at Berties flat or did he have a place of his own?

  • @Medication102 Valets in those days roomed with their masters like any other servant, but was also given an annual leave for a few weeks.

  • @wolfxbloed

Ah that is jolly good to know. Thank you for replying and uploading these episodes! These are much appreciated on YouTube! :)

  • @Medication102 You're quite welcome. =]

  • @Medication102 A valet serves his master directly, unlike a butler who serves the household. This means that Jeeves has to attend to Bertie at all hours, so he stays in the servants quarters. Jeeves is a valet, "a gentleman's gentleman", but Bertie has lent him out on occasion to perform butler duties. "When it comes to butlers" Bertie says, "Jeeves can buttle with the best of them.".

  • I've gotta say, these little comments wolfxbloed has left us are highly amusing =]

  • I want a jeeves!

  • "He's under the impression that he is a canary." "Meh, mistake anyone might make." Oh Bertie how I love you ^_^

  • Thanks to Christopher Hitchens, and even more thanks to the great Douglas Adams, for introducing a simple product of the American education system to P.G. Wodehouse.

  • "sir" at the end of every darn sentence is getting rather annoying i say:)

  • " he used to sit so close to the fire" oh bertie, he seems like someone whos sloughed off alot of tragedy

  • @tiemedown The joke was that his name is Melba, as in melba toast. Get it? ;)

  • 8:01 -- "... the Glossops' horror of moggies." Moggies are cats without pedigrees.

  • The pretend-soup was distracting. They couldn't have mixed up something vaguely soup like for those poor actors to use instead of their imaginations (and ours). Really, ITV...

But, oh, I love my Jeeves and Wooster. Thanks for uploading.

  • god jeeves is totally spiffing! i want him :D

  • Jeeves. You evil genius you. :) I have never seen this show before. I will be watching it more often from now on.

  • they wouldn't eat a hat though...LOL

  • The clanging of the soup ladle makes me laugh you would think for continuity they would add at least some water or something.

  • Back, I say! Back!

  • Wodehouse is brilliant. so are Fry and Laurie! :D

  • Those comments insult my sense of humour

  • I love how Jeeves just pushes the umbrella out of his way when he goes to get their coats. And those little comments that pop up on the screen are hilarious-thanks for posting this!

  • hugh and stephen are so cool :)

    xx

  • Who is Lady Glossop? Tweety Bird! Love the references to Cat in Hat by Doctor Seuss! With Jeeves cat-like manner purrrrrrr!!!!!

  • I feel Wooster was doing quite well on his own without the interference from Jeeves.

  • I watched this English drama because Stephen Fry was in it. At the beginning, I find it rather unusually funny. Down the middle, it gets exciting but quite dull. But at the end, I get the whole of the story's point.

Never marry someone you do not really in love to and have a good friend or a 'butler' to simplify your life. Good drama.

  • Bertie Wooster, he sure catches on quick, doesn't he? lol.

Thank you so much, wolfxbloed for uploading these episodes!

  • God I want a Jeeves!!!

  • @brennal1979

You have to have a lot of money.

  • Ending is brilliant !

  • Ailurophobia in British comedy. Never heard of that used outside Ranma 1/2.

  • Pip pip

  • The Glossops are away with the canaries!

  • Oh I love it!

Thanks so much for this. I've been wanting to watch it for ages, but I didn't know if I would like it (enough to buy the dvd).

It's brilliant! hugh Lauri and Stephen Fry are amazing. ^_^

  • MR WOOSTER!

    hullo.

  • Love this show - THANKS ;-)

  • That soup bowl is empty :D I love the way they are acting !

  • Oh, and I do have to note Jeeves' smooth-move at 3:59, his umbrella-move at 4:37, and the hat-move at 5:19!

  • Jeeves at 2:31-2!

    Evil, but <3<3<3

  • the black one sir, the tabby and the small lemon coloured animal!

  • Been a while since I've seen an episode of this. Still good though...

  • "I'll see if I can recover our umbrella, sir"

    I love Jeeves

  • lol

"Don't say a word about it...really. Get out."

  • the series is awesome and the ending theme is very nice.

  • Mrs. Glossop is so neurotic.
