Lvl 54 arcane mage WITHOUT HEALER cannot kill 20+ mobs at a time I know because I have an arcane mage lvl 54. -_- Look it up in armory "XKrazypwnage"

i have a full 44/0/8 mage, heavy arcane for slow, missile, and intel buffs. i have learned that arcane mages have very mild cc, but it is managable. i havent fully tried grinding yet, but arcane mages have a nice kite, with slow. and being into frost, that chance for chill effects to freeze works nice. ive learned i can kite and solo same level elites, and if done properly, can kite the 3 mob pats in norm ramps, if done properly.

Wow, that's an interesting method of grinding. What type of build are you using? I'm using a full-frost build using the Frost Nova, Blizzard method. But what you're doing there seems pretty damn quick. What's your stamina (health) at that particular level? I know those guys hit pretty hard, but yeah... Always interested in a faster way to grind :)

then again at lvl 40 pally's can use plate armor while mages only use cloth and generally have way less health. so a mage pulling 5 is pretty sweet.

At level 50+, I was pulling all 11 from the main section of that graveyard using an AoE frost build. Having the Water Elemental does take them down quicker, and the extra Frost Nova is helpful.

It took me 48 minutes in this lvl. I just love all you guys sticking to other methods, but this is really the fasted. I was able to do 4 lvls in with 45-to-55 minutes each. Its the CONSTANT that couts not the BURST.

??? Your talking about frost. Are you reading my stuff??? Dude with frost you don't have control over your mobs 100%, roots break and then you die. Even if your good, you still die more often than Arcane... And btw, i use my mana stones. And an elemental is not needed, because it only slows things down. Please all read my statemnts, not just comment without reading.

I highly disagree using arcane for aoe grinding, it's not built for that, although the talents permit it. It can be both mana efficient and inefficient, depending if your clearcasting procs or not, and if your arcane explosion crits or not. As for "never dying," you have to consider that arcane spec doesn't offer that much extra defense. Improved mana shield helps, but even that sucks up the juice from your mana pool pretty fast.

It's your right to no agree, but fact is that your wrong. I don't mind if you guys stay frost, just wanted to share tis alternative with the community. Because everyone is 'just' doing frost.

And about defense in arcane, it's not just the mana shield, it's a shitload of extra armor too. Just try it, before you make statments like these, because these statments are just the thinking of the mass, and don't point out knolage about the game...

I'm just pointing out these things because I was and still remain 100% arcane spec. Trust me, when you're lvl 70 with 8k health and 10k mana, it's still nearly impossible to aoe grind more than 3 lvl 67's for that matter. The extra armor you get from arcane fortitude really isn't a lot. I have 500 or so int, that only converts to 250 armor which is like what, 2% more? Not a huge difference.

why arcane?

It's the fastest when you see it in an overall perspective:

- You never die using this method. With forst your roots can break, creating unwanted situations. So crating delay in the grind flow. (you have all options in hand)

- You can Grind anywhere (with forst casters/ranged make a lot of spots unusable). Because of this you can grind anywhere. Keeping the Grind flow smooth.

- Arcane spe, creates a lot of benifits, like a #hit load more mana. This keeps the flow goning too ;-)
