You are amazing. I learned so quickly, and that makes me so GLAD ! And besides, I'm french and I perfectly understood all of your video, thank you SO MUCH, I'm going to sing it in front of 50pers tomorrow night! Thank you again <3
@theSarahendrix that's awesome to hear! You are very welcome. Please be sure to check out my other videos. I also have some lessons on my website. Thanks again for your nice words!
@PowerOfCrimp if I do, I don't use many. Sometimes during songs I'll change the voicing of a chord, which means I'm playing the same chord but play it in a different position... so sometimes I might barre if I like the sound of it. You have to try it out and see what works best for you! :)
Hello! I am getting my second uke because I am sick of my little plinky ka-p soprano and I was looking at the mainland mahogany concert ukulele. Are these really good quality instruments? Would you recommend any others in the 100-250 range? Thanks so much!
@Kenyora22 you know, I've never played a Mainland ukulele, but I was SOOO close to buying their mahogany concert ukulele earlier this year. So close... I just haven't had the necessary funds to cover the expense right now. I've heard such great things. From what I have heard from other Mainland owners, that would be a great investment!
I learned how to play ukelele at bandcamp. My friend lent it to me for some days of the week i was there, and i met my wife that way. She taught me chords and what not. Best thing i ever did.
Thanks! This was really helpful :) Seems like a few people prefer that the fourth string is an octave lower. I've seen the same suggested for "Over The Rainbow" a number of times. Do you ever have it tuned normally or is it just for a few songs that you tune it that way?
@BasementRuthie I like to have one ukulele in low G tuning and then another in standard tuning. I find this to be the easiest solution so I'm not having to constantly swap out strings.
@ductape2468 yep, I tune down my G string down an octave to a low G. You might need a special "low G" ukulele string set to get it to work well on your ukulele though.
Hey Brett I think your site is currently offline.

i think its easier to pick it by letting ur thumb drag down the 4 strings and then picking them individually going back up

@Kenyora22 if you want to get a good uke...dont buy a mahogany...the wood is too cheap and mass produced

Do you have to use a low g string to tune it down an octave lower or can you just use a normal string and tune it down?
allia31 7 months ago
@allia31 I find there isn't enough tension with a normal string so I get a "low G" string set. You can also buy an individual wound low G string too.
