Reminds me of 'Gimme Danger (Little Stranger)', and 'Open Up & Bleed' by Iggy & The Stooges; and some of the leads are reminiscent of James Williamson's guitar style.
@xXDeadDarknessXx i haven't had the pickguards off of mine yet so not sure but i think i heard that they were. ask someone on the agile guitar forum... they will know for sure.
Can I have a copy of this song? It's amazing! I love SX guitars. I don't have any, but I'm seriously considering buying some for the purpose of modding.
thanks dude. the stl & sjb are stock but the sst's are not. i just did this for me not to really represent anything for sx. it was just to use all my sx guitars in one song kinda thing. anyway thanks for the comment and glad you liked it!
Hey just a quick question on the recording process, did you make each track individualy and upload them to audacity or did you record directly into it?
for this i just recorded direct into audacity. i didn't have any recording gear during this time and was wanting to try it out. just going direct using a line 6 toneport.
i bought these modded with better pickups already. but the tele is all stock. it's fairly typical for single coils to hum but my tele stock pups don't hum too bad. i am definately happy with it.
well i went to play a real strat and it hummed very very bad it was loud i could barely hear the guitar its self and i don't want to spend 149 dollars on noiseless pickups unless i get a cheap one like the sx but other than that are they good and reliable
yeah, i understand. strats at high gain are usually noisy but sometimes it's possible wiring and/or grounding issues that cause too much noise. you should check out guitarfetish and look at some of their more affordable pickups.
yep made in china. the strats were modded but the bass & tele are completely stock (other than the pickguard). and this is played thru a line6 toneport - no amp at all - into my pc. i only used a free audacity recording software to record it. thanks for the compliment dude!
Jeez Petrucciansky, you are probably the reason I can trust Rondomusic. Thank you for posting all these clips of SX and Agile guitars. You got great taste in music too! Rush and Dream Theater rock...
I need help with a decision though.
If you had to choose between the Agile AL-2000 and the SX GG5, which would you pick? The GG5 is an ES-335 copy. And ever since I've watched Alex Lifeson play, I've been a sucker for anything that even looks like an ES-335...
thanks dude, im a prog fan for life myself. i have never played the gg5 but i bet it's a cool guitar. i think i might try one of those. the al2000 is a great start for the les paul style and the agile line is usually better than the sx. but i've seen some great sx gits too. if it were me i'd try the gg5. it will be more of an alex early rush axe!
btw just saw rush from the 8th row and they rocked!
Alright thanks for the insight man. I am kind of leaning more towards the AL-2000 because the features are greater. Although, since I think I can afford some GFS pickups along with the GG5, it might be great too. So many possibilities... Ahh my only complaint with Rondomusic is having too many options in my price range! haha
Yeah, I was lucky enough to see them on the Snakes and Arrows tour as well. They are always amazing....
nothing but me playing thru a line6 toneport straight to my pc using audacity(free software). no mix effects. the only effects were what was on the toneport preset that i was using. the only other thing is know how to layer and mix.. but you can only do so much with the free software.
yeah.. fraid so. thanks jordan. i can try. this is the 1st attempt at recording with some free software. when i get my house built and the studio set up i can do it much easier.
Reminds me of 'Gimme Danger (Little Stranger)', and 'Open Up & Bleed' by Iggy & The Stooges; and some of the leads are reminiscent of James Williamson's guitar style.

Great song. The SX guitars used on this demo are not stock. Is this misrepresenting SX guitars playability in general. Anyway, I enjoyed it, thanx..

I experienced tonight an agile in action, and I was pretty amazed, would you say that these guitars can be used for any kind of music?
floguitarfreak 2 years ago
yes, definitely. there also are many different kinds of agile guitars to fit just about any style.

could a fender strat neck fit on an sx strat?
shaggy1039 3 years ago
i am not sure about that. check the agile guitar forum and ask that. i am sure somebody out there would know that answer.
petrucciansky 3 years ago
Do "normal" strat parts fit on the SX's ?
sonilink2 3 years ago
with a little work the picguards do. the tuner holes in the headstock are a little smaller but some of the gfs tuners fit in easily.
petrucciansky 3 years ago
how do you make it sound good i have a sx strat and it doesn't sound as good as yours
Blacksabbath7517 3 years ago
