Never soak seeds longer than 8 hours or they could suffocate. Use seed starting mix that is already moist (or pre-moisten) to try to avoid watering during germination. Make sure the film is removed immediately upon sprouting. Lastly, ease the plants into full sunlight and wind... maybe only an hour at first then more and more.
