NTID Gallaudet

Wow... awesome vlog. I really enjoyed watching everything you shared about your experience through 2 universities. I went through one university which is similar to yours as I had to go through Deaf community, Deaf friends who were students there and so on.

I would have gone to Gallaudet on my first year, instead I went to Oklahoma State University of Oklahoma City, because my mom wants me to be close by. My dad knew I'm ready to be out in the world. Well, it happened to all of us in daily life

Thanks for sharing your opinion of how Gallaudet and NTID compare. Curious if you feel NTID promotes Deafhood compared to Gallaudet?

Also, I agree with you it was important to get out of Gallaudet. I did the same. Going to MSSD and Gallaudet was VALUABLE for me in developing and enriching me, I stayed there for 9 years, but I got out of Gallaudet, and I'm glad I did, since I got more experience and more understanding of the world out there but going to Gally was valuable in itself!

Thank you for sharing with us! :D Wish my parents did allow my first choice Gallaudet but they did turned down on my first choice and my 2nd choice was NTID also turned down too! oh geez rats!!! They told me that my old Oral Deaf Catholic did warned them that I will fail my speech but they were WRONG! Dang!!! Oh well, I do still love my parents!!!
