"Era I" is what your doctor does, pills, surgery & radiation; "Era II" includes the mind in the form of biofeedback and meditation; "Era III" includes the discoveries of quantum physics: energy, waves and non-local effects. When you take medicine the body also regards that medication itself as an outside influence or agent and so it rejects that medication which is why you have side effects and also rejects the disease which is distracted from attacking the physical body by the interruption of the medication. It's like a distraction or interloper that bolsters the body's natural capability of healing itself.
