I don't think a "new" sor would be a good idea. There have been numerous attempts to bring the 90's beat-em-up into the modern era, and none of them were very good (Final Fight Streetwise, anyone?). Also, SOR particularly was just so early 90's in its atmosphere and especially music..... just let classics be classics and let's instead see a brand new style of beat 'em up for the 2010's using Kinect\Move\Wii technology where you actually get to punch motherfuckers in the head yourself.
I guess this is the kind of music that only makes sense if you have the right images in your head ... I can't imagine how a 13 year old these days can enjoy this music ... or can they? I don't know ...

I'd be happy with high res, fast paced great music 2D action to be honest with a new Streets Of Rage. But I'd like them to try and max out the hardware in 2D. It might be possible with High res images, some dynamic lighting, and a huge mass of instruction and environment triggers.

When fighting force 1 came out, there characters were slow, didn't have any powers or personality, used beer bottles , guns, and crow bars as weapons. Sega wont do that, there too busy killing off Sonic and its fanbase that went along with it. It would be cool to have the Remake on Xbox Live or PSN with revamped Hi Def visuals (no polygons please). They don't have to worry about the soundtrack department since its already made.

Just type Streets of Rage Remake in Google and u should click on the one that talks about the game and its history. i think it's the one where they say it's the fourth game in the series. Once you're on the site, you should see down below download soundtrack. Just click it and then they will bring u to a page where you can see the list of 30+songs that u can listen too. it uses real player i believe.
The version in the final version of SORR wasn't my favourite, i think i would have preferred this one.

Sega wont do that, there too busy killing off Sonic and its fanbase that went along with it. It would be cool to have the Remake on Xbox Live or PSN with revamped Hi Def visuals (no polygons please). They don't have to worry about the soundtrack department since its already made.

It's on the Streets of Rage Remake website. Just type Streets of Rage Remake in Google and u should click on the one that talks about the game and its history. i think it's the one where they say it's the fourth game in the series. Once you're on the site, you should see down below download soundtrack. Just click it and then they will bring u to a page where you can see the list of 30+songs that u can listen too. it uses real player i believe.
