  • imense. i wish i sounded like him! soo good man.

  • 5:13 is the best bit by far!

  • im doin this song for a solo ensemble...... after watching this i realize how much i have to put into this.....=|

  • Playing this song for an audition for a college i am applying to. Greaet song. Anyone think its appropriate for a college audition?

  • And the accompanist is chopped liver. No acknowledgment from the soloist. I know that's standard operating procedure in classical music, but break the mold, people. Acknowledge your accompanist. Just do it.

  • My solo at school... awesome video!

  • I am a thirteen year old playing this haha you high schoolers sick compared to my skills

  • Played this my senior year in high school...Was rated an Outstanding Performer at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest 1999-2000...played it on the Euphonium...great piece of music that brings back memories!!

  • It's a C# by the way...I played this for State solo and ensemble freshman year...

He has a very nice, open tone. Professional quality. 'Specially on the lip slur at the end...fantastic

  • Well played. I'm personally preparing this piece for a university audition right now and this is one of the best recordings I have found on youtube. I don't know why but I can't seem to find Joseph Alessi playing this piece anywhere.

    Again, well done!

  • good vibrato...jaw?

  • God I just really love the cadenza in this piece. No idea why I just do...

  • haha. i met this guy once who said this piece was easy..i was placed higher than him and this is not an easy piece for me. haha #selfconfidentloser

  • A double high c is hard if you aren't accustomed to playing in the upper range. It took me months of practice to reach it constantly. but its not easy if you havent put in the time. no ones perfect.

  • @CM88keys I understand that no one is perfect but I am a bass trombone player. I do lip slurs every rehearsal though as any great brass player will tell you to do. On a 2g I have range up to High G on a shilke 51 I can get the high Bb no problem.

  • I played this song last year. At first it was aweful, meaning all these runs and high notes. But I hekka practiced until my lips litterrally got sore; on performance day, gahh!!... I messed up the intro and the cadenza.overall, i did it but some of my fellow musicvians noticed few out-of-tuned notes.I used this as a source to help me out but I messed up thr intro, cadenza and a few out of tuners. Pretty soon i'm going to perform Ferdinand Davivd's Concertino. Hope I do well.

  • I'm a freshman and my lessons teacher gave me this as a solo and I nearly had seizure. Then I looked at it again and I realize how easy it is...

  • 13 year old playing this piece, this video helps me alot, very fun sheet music.

  • Memorized! So few t-bones do that with classical

  • This is one of my favorite trombone solos.

  • Great sound quality and playing. I used this recording as a studying tool to play this piece this year.

  • absolutely amazing performance! found this video and used it as my inspiration and guide so I could play that c# and perform this in a in a studio recital, you're tone is amazing! very beautiful =) very well done

  • He makes it seem so easy. too easy >.>

  • Playing this for my audition at Jacksonville State University in Alabama in 2 weeks! Cant wait. I admire your technique but more so your tone. Absolutely beautiful

  • @ClbnLoco19

    practise, practise and practise!

It's been a long time before i reached that kind of notes

    sorry for bad english xD

  • As a trombone player myself, I have to say that this is awesome. :)

  • fantastic accompaniment, and trombone was cool too!

  • Nice lip trill. Playing this for my jury this semester. Didn't realize just how similar this was to Barat. Thanks for the ideas.

  • Truly incredible, I greatly enjoyed this video

  • I'm working on this solo for a solo contest, and theres no way im gonna play like that, it's a beautiful song and I love it. Trombones FTW.

  • this is really nice. he plays it very smooth and his breath control is awesome, just wish that the "pp" was a little softer...

    this guy is amazing!! :D

  • I'm working on this solo for my junior year, do you have any tips I could use?

  • I'm working on this solo. I love it. It's very fun to play, and it's beautiful. I certianly cannot play at this guy's level yet, but I'm working toward that. XD

  • i agree with you chinatsufuj... XD

  • He plays the whole composition by heart?! I'm absolutely impressed...

I'm learning this "Morceau Symphonique", too, so I know how tough it is. I wonder how long he practised for this performance...

    Very good quality as well!

    Thanks for uploading =)

  • @ChinatsuFujikage

If you want to learn it by heart, just practice it more than you do, and once you masterize the song with the chart, try without the chart. You'll have some blank sometimes, but it's normal. Just get through the song regulary, and you'll know it by heart.

  • I hope I do as well as you did at solo\ensemble..

  • That guy is amazing. That high C was effortless and flawless. If only I could play like that...

  • I love 5:15

    OMG

  • Sounds Great

  • the pianist is amazing also, simply amazing!

  • i could have used slightly crisper tonguing is some spots and better dynamic contrast (as i've seen said here a few times) but otherwise GREAT job :) i like the tone.

  • this player's tone is very unique. I like it.

  • really good nice . but could express the dynamics a little more. just my opinion but other than that great job :)

  • Nice, Im playing that song for my high school solo contest.

  • Very nice.
