Strange how vibrational frequencies can bring this many people together spiritually. The title is "Stars" and everyone sub-consciously is aware that something is out there, and something created everything. Thus, bringing us together here to speak of our beliefs. One day we will be one with everything, and all will be understood. But as humans we must unite while we are here. Best wishes to everyone.
We're at one with the universe...heavenly...FYI - one of my favorite apps is APOD (Astronomy Pic Of the Day, it's FREE!) I love it... for you star gazers like me, you'll love it...
Next time I'm laying under the desert sky at night, I shall smoke and relax and listen to this. That is, unless my friends wife wants to play her Beyonce and Lady Gaga at 80 dB and kill our buzz like last time.
we bought this album, Apollo, when it was first released on vinyl, way back in the day. it's been a favorite ever since. you've done a great job with it, i hope you do more.
At first I thought this was boring, but a few minutes passed as I carried on with my life, and suddenly I realized... this is really happening. I mean, this is doubt in motion, doubt about everything, the stars are only the fuel that feeds the questioning. I hope I get the answers in another of Brian Eno´s work.
i think its alrite to be agnostic and athiest as long as you at least explore the religions and come to some sort of conclusion on it. before that you dont really have a right. how can people judge something if they havent at least learnt some things from it y'know.
I cannot express just how bewildered and amazed I was watching this. It makes you think about all of the "ultimate" questions that are posed by us humans. How and why are we here? And, what the hell is going on? It seems something amazing, beyond any level of understanding is at play here. Something so brilliant and genius that it is indescribable via human language. What a mysterious and wondrous place the universe is. It's so humbling it defies belief. I wish I could travel through it all.
@ksjoyjespeace Please don't bring religion into this, it's the exact opposite of the feelings this video should evoke; if anything it should make you question what you have been led to believe your entire life. There are enough annoying Christians on youtube arguing with logic and reason, continuously preaching their beliefs. I for one have seen through religion. Quote all the scripture you want to me, I won't reply. G'day sir.
Very peaceful. Perhaps a bit *too* peaceful, unless purposely intended as a soporific. Could be used in place of sleeping pills to help one fall asleep. Btw, 0:55 to 1:00 looks like a Borg cube.
Eno was good at making a seemingly un-involving and peaceful track, but putting very soulful, and in some ways energetic and haunting bits in there that come out if you pay attention. Much like the universe itself.
this song is beautiful. even better, knowing that we are made from stars. everything we are, everything life is, is produced by stars. and someday, a long time from now, after many star deaths and births, there will be no more. in the future, space will be dark as pitch because eventually, the stars will run out of fuel and burn out, one by one. there is only so much hydrogen in the universe. and while star deaths are violent, they also bring life. stay high~
Ron & Fez did a stoner talk issue about would you rather be deaf or blind. The majority of the callers said blind because sound and music is more important. What is your choice
what is it about the cosmos that is so alluring? i feel like everything we fuss about here is just so unimportant and meaningless.. it's like we are trying to impose some order and find some purpose on a tiny miniscule of a spec of a spec of a spec in this infinite expanse.. when you realize you are everything those stars are, you gain a fond connection to the beauty of everything you see.
it gives me the love i lack for humanity.
thanks for this wonderful song. it sends me into good thoughts.
@MajorisVYCanis - Totally agree, every law we make is pointless, every word we say is nothing and if we weren't here, that beautiful cosmos wouldn't care and would still continue
@RadgiePastie We, humans, are a way of the universe to be aware of itself. We are made from the same components as everything else. The complicated structure of elementary particles into atoms, which have formed together to create complex molecules, which make up the complicated neurons that compose the structure of our brains. Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, is precious. If a human disagrees with me, I let him live on. For in a hundred billion galaxies, I will not find another.
@MajorisVYCanis I'm so grateful that there are people so much smarter than I, who can so beautifully articulate exactly how I feel about a certain video. This viewer's comment so perfectly expresses how I feel about contemplating our cosmos. (Especially to Eno's genius) Watching this type of video and listening to his music is truly one of the few times I can enter a state of grace. Thank you.
I feel like I've just been whisked away into deepest space, and I'm just floating on stars. Thanks Mr. Eno for giving me such a wonderful cosmic experience!!!
Peace, prosperity, hermandad, it would be great if we all just became one.... no matter what race , no matter what color... One color we would become, one army of lions moving forward.

@BlackSunSerenade No. It's so easy for a person to be convinced they know the truth and for them to feel it's their obligation to 'enlighten' others. If everybody starts minding their own business and enlightening themselves without forcing their spirituality or religion onto others it would be a better world. Even if you tell somebody the secret of the Universe they would reject it because they did not come to that conclusion themselves.
@BlackSunSerenade : Yes, we can. Unfortunately, some of us (ie, religionists) don't, because they believe that anyone who doesn't believe as they do is going to Hell, or even that they should be *helped* to go to Hell (via violence and mayhem). Those of us who don't subscribe to religion, though, do tend to be tolerant of other people. So *never* let people tell you "we must all believe the same thing"; it's a lie. It's perfectly fine to think differently from the crowd.
@ExtremeOversteer well you're contradicting yourself. you're saying all religious people are violent and intolerant and all atheists are tolerant. there are plenty of religious people that are simply looking to get through life. and just like in ANYTHING ELSE, there are evil people in religion who use it to justify their own evil. and you know what, there are plenty of wackjob atheist anarchists that claim blow up things up in the name of 'enlightenment'. i myself am an agnostic, by the way
@BlackSunSerenade No, unfortunately. even if we did believe the same thing, there would be conflict. where humans go, there will be conflict and corruption and sin.
@panchitodelatorre si, estas correcto. Solo musica puede fijar ls problemas del mundo. Tristemente, todos no pueden entender. Vivimos en un lugar triste.
