Having more nuclear warheads isn't important :) If you have 1000 warheads that you can't deliver, you lose against the guy who has one and CAN deliver it ... Please tell me what Russian plane is capable of countering the F35 for example?

If you want to be delusional about it, fine :) but that`s not how it works out in real life - The soviet union collapsed due to one single fact: it couldn`t afford the cost of competing with the U.S in weaponry and techonology - while the populace toiled and suffered, the leaders were squandering money on arms - don`t get me wrong, im not a US supporter, that`s just something that happened - I have no liking for either countries.

So i think that at first Cccp was important for Russia because Cccp had kill the zar's empire and it was important for increase in a very little time the economy of the Russia. But as you know there is no peace every year, so every country wants to protect there home land buy building and improving weapons.
