  • She shows us her spirit. She asks nothing. She simply states. And no one doubts that she means just what she says. This may be the most powerful video I have ever seen.

  • Simply epic song with lyrics that can still have POWER today.

  • невероятно мощное выступление!

  • Begin comment. Feels different, was different, is different, always will be different. And that difference is magnificent! She is the instantiation of her soul, through voice, objectified in sound. Remarkable. End comment.

  • @wetfreq You're so right.

    Not everybody can see this.

  • simply amazing!!

  • BEST VOICE EVER!

  • For me, i use this song to get in the right frame of mind, to explore why I feel so different. This song speaks of my alcohol and drug abuse, hitting bottom, and finding myself in sobriety, finally, at last, feeling different, feels good. Alcohol and drugs, I thought, were my friends, after bad experience, after bad experience, finally I said, i don't want anymore. I feel sodifferent, today, thank God......

  • @Irishsheking Blessings to you my friend of Bill's...I feel the same way ....remember to smile back at the gal in the glass...u have traveled a hard road and may you find peace along the rest of your journey...honor yourself, your are worth it!

  • @Irishsheking We cross paths again. Took a bad fall last month. I thought I could take Vicodin safely because it was for a valid medical ailment and a Dr. RX-ed it.It ended 25 nights and 24 days ago. Happy New Year, Kindred Spirit!!!

  • There is no one like Sinead.

  • @pmpzyx Nothing compares to her.

  • I think she is/was one of the best singers (and a great human person to boot). Troy is the first I every heard of her a long time ago and the blood froze in my veins.

  • How does she hold that NOTE sooo long???! I tried to hold the "soooooooo" as long as she did and my throat choked. OMG! Sinead could do opera. She has this little tiny mouth and all this power comes from it.

  • Im not like I was before...I feel so different....

  • Ich liebe diesen Song, er ist absolut spitzenklasse..., Sinead ist etwas ganz, ganz besonderes...

  • How can someone express that much on her own, alone on the stage.

  • =D

  • Amazing!

  • ENORME.

  • Love her voice!!!!

  • énorme personnalité, simplement unique <3

  • ¡Magnífica Sinéad...! Piel de gallina...

  • isn't she an amazing artist? i was looking at it as if i was hypnotized ! toward the end when she open her mouse she looked like Edward Monk painting "the scream" in a good way!

  • You just don't see this kind of authenticity and genuine expression much these days.

  • Fantástica

  • Sinead O'Connor is a beautiful, sweet, sensitive and aware human being. This song and performance proves it! Siddhartha Marr, Songwriter.

  • This woman speaks to my soul with the voice of an angel. I love you Sinead.

  • Different was what she seems,

to be she is, a voice of dreams,

and in the theatre of the mind,

the magic of her soul will bind

    all, rapt with awe,

the nobility of her soul foresaw.

  • all of america was hounding her, now you saint her.....biggest bunch of hippos i have ever seen,,,

  • @polmaccaba01 Why do you moronic non Americans always lump us together? I always loved her music. Perhaps you should look a little more inwardly and see your own hypocrisy.

  • The beauty in her voice is stunning! She's a remarkable artist and performer :)

  • Show Maravilhoso !!!

  • hermoso tema.....impecable interpretacion.......

  • I wonder how many people Sinead liberated or inspired by this song?

Is it in the millions? Is it more than Bush's fake 40 or 50 million?

  • She is truly Amazing! Love her! The true artist who feels and endures the pulse of life and death!

  • Perfection.

  • heÿ_Í_fëÊl_sÒ_lõNËlý_tõdÅY

  • @CutiyyLelaaa118 ahh don't feel lonely - theres always someone out there to chat to. I woke up with Feel so Different going around and around my head, so just having a quick listen before I do the school run. Listening to music that inspires me always makes me feel better

  • amazing performance....n.e. (nothing else)

  • um interesting . . . I have only ever met one other Sinead fan since I became obssessed with her in '91 so it's nice to hear other people comments; to me she is a heroine. The Lion and the Cobra got me through my divorce; alone and terrified of the dark, I listened over and over again. Not only does she have a voice to rival any other female on this planet but her braveness to say and look how she feels no matter who it offends is an inspiration and who else could look that good with no hair?

  • @mayhorse66 You,my darling, are so correct. I am happy that Sinead showed power in your life, because now you will show power, too, if you choose, on and on and on.

    God bless

  • @Vengeance509 Thank you and God bless you too. I love her even more since shes has 4 kids with 4 dads - i have 3 with 3; we are an urban family and if people don't like it, well tough! We all have our own journey through life and people should not be so judgemental of each other; I don't know if I'm powerful but I have definately become strong and Sinead and her music has been part of that process

  • @mayhorse66 Not one of us dares judge the other. Not ever. We ought not to. There are people of all backgrounds and beliefs who ascribe to Love, and who will help you. Sinead has always "voiced" that sort of inspiration, because of her unique tone, her "thing". But truly -- I am just a fellow traveller; please know that you are loved. There are good people in this world who love you without ever meeting you.

Sinead exemplifies some values in her shocking music. Best to you. ~Namarie~

  • @Vengeance509Really - is that true? I don't feel loved even by my own parents. I feel I'm not supposed to be here. Thank you anyway for your kind words. What brought Sinead to you and does any other artist make you feel the same way when you listen to their music? You have an unusual name - do you live in the UK?

  • LOVE this song..I can so relate..wow,, just found this song..have never heard of it....outstanding!

  • que chevere

  • One of the best songs I've ever heard!! :)

  • I was there, the 29th october 1990.

It was an amazing, fantastic concert!

I really was blown away by her voice.

    great song.

  • @jovadrie lucky you! I saw her in 2007. woulda loved to see her in her prime

  • i have like..every skin hair in my body standing up right now..

  • What's this, second coming of Mahatma Ghandi?

Love her voice, but never liked pretentious people...

  • @PrZemek44

Forgive and forget brother, forgive and forget.

  • @JuvoII yes

  • @PrZemek44 I don't think it's pretentious. She purposely dresses down so no one will care about her looks. You want pretentious? Look at today's "indie" rockers with their hair, clothes, and accessories.

    That's pretentious.

  • @jname96 Yep, if you think thats pretentious take alook at Lady GaGa. Sinead is the real deal - the other?

  • @kranski1001 Lol, what bothers me most is the "indie" rockers today. oh man, don't get me started on their trendy bangs, tight jeans, and oh so cool t-shirts with graphics on them.

Nothing's more obnoxious than "hipsters". Sinead didn't embrace ANY of that crap. Her voice and lyrics alone were awesome enough.

  • @kranski1001 It's funny you mention Lady Gaga. She does a big show, that's it. But outside the stage is a very down to earth, intelligent and funny person. All Sinead TRIES to be (too hard, and that's the problem).

  • @kranski1001 I meant off the stage. Go Ga Ga!!! My girl... ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @jname96 'Dresses down'? To look like Mother Theresa? To me this 'Look at me I'm the conscience of the word' crap is pretentious. And her 'stage demeanour' is simply unwatchable. Look at her bio, she's been involved in more causes than other artists combined, but it's all about her. Fortunatelly, the world doesn't pay much attention to her 'being so f..ing controversial' anymore.

Still, I love her voice. And some of her songs...

  • @PrZemek44 I'd take dressed down next to hipster dressed up ANY day.

  • @jname96 Thanx for introducing me to this 'hipster' thing... To me it's funny that I consider 'even' Lady Ga Ga less pretentious than Sinead... ;)

If 'Muse' belogs to this 'indie hipsters' ... bunch, sorry, LOOOOOVE those guys!!!!

  • @PrZemek44 no hard feelings. actually i agree with u about Lady Gaga. She doesn't seem pretentious at all. I now where ur coming from about Sinead, but I think she just feels deeply about many causes, good for her. Just cuz she's a singer doesn't mean she has to hold back.

And yes, i HATE hipsters. I don't know if Muse is, but basically any Emo-looking band that is obscure haha..

  • @jname96 Hey, it's nice not to 'exchange insults' for a change... ;)

'Where I'm coming from'? Well, I'm one of those polacks who never had the pope's pic on the wall. What she did was just... juvenile. I was sent to the principal's office only once, after I tore up pictures of Lenin, Kremlin etc, but I was 15 for Christ's sake... :)

    Cheers

  • @PrZemek44 ...u don't have to put down one to elevate another...they are both talented artists and amazing individuals. If you don't like the performance...don't watch and comment. Some ppl don't get....they didn't then and they won't now.

  • great...........simpli the best........

  • Nothing could TOUCH that pure voice.

    Nothing

  • love her fragility

  • @liseuet

fragile strength... i so much understand it and live it too... it aches sometimes. Glad she is still around :)

  • Hope she's still well Just for today!

  • godlike

  • Still does it for me years later...awesome.

  • Gutsy Woman Brutal Soulful Touched

  • @GenuinelyArtificial I totally agree with you--this is real music Sinead offered to us all...I miss her times also

  • i have no doubt that she is sain infact possibly much more than me. but this song 20yrs on still makes my hair stand up and cry towards the end..... she was and surely is special as no doubt u r xxxx tim

  • I remember listening to her voice and being transported to a place very few have taken me. What a rebel..What a muse. I just shared this video with my 13 year old daughter, my new muse, and she gets it. She said, "you know it is not about sanity, it's about what's in your heart."

  • @daletiffany2 same dude my hair stands up when i hear this 20yrs later and sometimes cry........... sounds pathetic from a man but true.

  • @rogerson61 I admire you being sensitive to this link thanks for appreciating Sinead's music man you are right!!! she's awesome

  • @rogerson61 men shouldnt be pushed into the "pathetic" corner just because we have emotions too anyway. i think its pathetic for a men to act icecold only because a certain kind of people only feels comfortable with the idea of men who are egoistic creatures who only start to care when its about having sex.

and btw any women who claims that all men are assholes should maybe rethink their taste in men.

  • @brotmann86 You are a good man...I have always been seen as weak or less than a real man because I am not like other men...I no longer care what women or men think of me...its true that many women are attracted to mean or tough guys but I shall not be someone I am not.....I am I.......

  • @DramaDon83 thank you made me happy to read this :)

  • @brotmann86 finally someone said it!! I completely agree with you, and I'm a woman...furthermore, I even haven't had a decent boyfriend in years, but still I haven't lost hope that the men you describe exist (the kind who isn't afraid to show their feelings I mean!).. thank you!

  • @brotmann86 I know. This is so random, but I was at the GROCERY STORE, waiting in line and this medium/smallish guy in his early 20s, bi-racial, just gave off this air of arrogance and pseudo machoness lol. He tried to act all silent and calm, u know. And it just STRUCK me as so phony. I rarely get so annoyed by a complete stranger! LOL.

  • @brotmann86

    Wonderfully said. :)

  • @brotmann86 This is something that bugs me also. It's unfair for nice people to have such an awful stigma attached to them because of a culture that doesn't care if they demean themselves and look cheap. Not everyone is like that, it's just a shame we often end up in a dark corner where we're not so easily seen as those who love to flaunt themselves in a spotlight for the sake of attraction or selfish attention.

  • @brotmann86

Easy Love. Wait for the music to die down....???

  • @brotmann86 That's why I've been celibate for 6+ years, just had enough of men [players, etc} & BTW (if you know) when did 'pimp' become a paradigm?? Now it's time to discover ME. Perhaps I'll find a man who is non-manipulative, honest, not afraid to show his feelings, isn't afraid to share them...and things will change for the better. Only Time Will Tell, won't it?

  • @QueenMAB418 there are a lot of men out there who just wait to find a woman to share emotions with. it depends on how open your eyes, mind, heart and expectations are. many people want men to be the strong, controlling side, what is quite scary to sensitive guys.media and many woman tell them that they have to be more successful than the woman and confident like a god, otherwise they're a joke. it's time for the lady to make the first step sometimes, it might be worth it. :)

  • you 14 dislikes kiss my ASS. this song is awesome. what? are you retarded and stuck on this ignorant modern wanna be good music? fuck off, this is REAL talent.

take your 14 dislikes and shove them up your DUMB ASSES.

  • beautiful:)

  • Sometimes I think of what would happen if you locked certain people in a studio for a week and didn't let them out until a song was recorded.

Todays people are Sinead, Maria McKee, Bjork, with Son Volt backing them up.

  • @MurphysLaww I think Kate Bush would fit into that group too :)

  • impresionanteee !!

  • fanstastic performance, impressive, moving.... ! but watching her makes me worried for her sanity...

  • @kalthaushummel What describes sanity then? Lying to yourself? Worrying how do others see you? Pretending?... or is it an acceptance of all that comes into You from all around and makes You completely dive into it, absorb it, surrender to it and let it all out in form of art? She's more sane than many of us...

  • @Radiacius yes, i agree. what i meant is losing the ability to restore inner balance. we all need that, specially artists.

  • @Radiacius

I could not write anything better than how you discribe , Sinead , she has more talnat than most

  • @Radiacius Well said thumbs up.
