Having studied John L Walson's equipment for about 1:30. I came to the very simple conclusion that his equipment is nowhere near good enough to back the claims he's made. Try looking at the same coord's from hubble's perspective. Not an amature meade scope with a webcam attached.

Who said anything about a webcam? When has hubble ever looked at the moon? What claims do you think John makes?

That is the equipment he used. A meade schmidt-cassegrane telescode with a ccd on the t-mount. Nowhere near enough resolution. He claimed that if you look at many stars they are actually little space-ships. Hence why he's a nutter. Hubble hasn't been pointed at the moon, it simply wouldn't work. But if you want a look at the moons surface in high res, the japs have put a satellite in orbit to do just that.

Yes CCD but not a webcam. Enough resolution for what? Have you any idea as to what size youtube converts files down to, even with their quality upgrade it's still a drastic difference. He's not a nutter. You know how I know that? He showed me. There are many frequencies beyond what you can see with your own eyes and your perception of that is down to your DNA, there is a way to see things we are unable to see normally.cheers.

I was taking the piss when I said webcam, it's the same technology. He didn't use something like a gigapixel ccd, it was just an off the shelf component. Secondly, Yes, there is information there that isn't in the visible spectrum, there are plenty of telescopes with gigapixel resolution that can observe these wavelengths. The resolution thing is nothing to do with this youtube video, it's from looking at his pictures.

Have you tried looking at nasa's patents and how many of them have led to major discoveries in the fields of medicine, biotech, mri and such. Even if NASA was a load of crap and they didn't go to the moon or whatever you are claiming, they've still improved the quality of life and medical technology in the meantime. I'd like to see you justify how you think NASA is a waste of money.
