  • I get better speeds on my HSDPA than what you got in this video, so I hope you're not in 4g LTE..

  • Man, fuck 4g smartphones. Im waitin till they come out with 4g basic phones, so I can afford it.

  • @TheMasterCeo youll be waiting forever then.

  • weird in canada we pay 60 $ a month to shaw cable for internet with 1mb upload and on your cellular verizon u get 7 upload??

  • lmao im still using dsl we dont have fios in dc yet

  • does it costly when u go to website or video?

  • The fastest i got on my iPhone 4 on AT&T is 6.06 Mbps down And 1.56 Mbps up

  • Fast forward to 2:34 see the actual tests

  • sprint is where its at..ACTUALLY unlimited data?..check...currently in talks with clearwire to buy their LTE network which has been clocked at 98mbps?...check

  • 4G LTE simply rocks - there are a lot of new uses for wireless bandwidth that simpy weren't possible before... check out the HumanKiosk from the company I work for, MediaTile. 4G LTE is a true change agent.

  • In Las Vegas, we are getting speeds up to 170mbps on Verizon's 4G.

  • @ahmadkhaled No you're not.

  • @ahmadkhaled you can't! probably 17mb/s is more realistic.

  • @ahmadkhaled i get that speed on my 400mbps on my 3g network

  • just wait until everyone has one.. speeds will dip WAY low because they have to divide the bandwidth.

  • 3:25 there's a difference between megabits and megabytes

  • how the hell are there still plans for home networks that are 3 mbs down when theres a phone that does 70?

  • no unlimited data plan is pretty lame, especially since the plan is so overpriced.

  • wow it takes me over an hour to download 200 mb I HAVE STUPID INTERNET i hope they make this 3g/4g crap free with no data charges

  • I have both services right now in my city San Antonio and I'm getting .50 Mbps on Dow and .30 on Sprint 4G inside my house while on Vz 4G I'm getting 7.89mbps down and 5.7 uplink and in my area there are way too many trees! Sprint still has the same gaps in coverage with even slower speeds now! It's insane I've had their 4G for one year as of tmorrow! Hooray Vz beat you on it's first month lol... Oh and I stream plent of 1080p video and haven't gone off my limit I've used 3.5GB so not bad for t

  • @GaGaRMW ok let me tell u wimax and fully matured lte is wimax still has a long way to go

  • Here in NY I can get 3-5 Mbps down 1-2 up on tmobile regularly. Plus, I don't have to worry about data caps. That's all for $30 a month unlimited.

So yeah, Verizon's LTE, although faster is definitely overpriced and overrated for most consumers.

Save your money and go with tmobile.

  • Hi, great demo. I too am a Swede who can clock in 92Mbps on 4G/LTE, however; do you know if Verizon's LTE modems work in Linux? Thanks and keep up the good work!

  • i mean not wireless

  • HK and Japan have 1000Mbps Fiber Network.

    And HK's only HK$199/month

  • Sprint WiMAX => no caps. The speeds are not there like the LTE hardward provides though, but I average around 3-5 mbps which is plenty fast enough in a 4G area. 49.99/month or 59.99/month give you unlimited 4G with a cap at 5GB's on the 3G side of the house.

  • You should get higher speed, up to 100 Mbs, that's the peak. here in Stockholm on May I did a test and got 33 Mbs Downlink and 10 Mbs Uplink, but the speed now is doubled tha's I should get 60-70 Mbs.

  • I have beat those speeds on my Epic 4G a few time.. Mobile Burn got 25mbps in New York with VZW.. Thats super fast but probably wont last too long

  • @eldmage Sweden is like the size of California and with only 9 million people, so its probably alot easier and cheaper to cover one state with a 100 mbps network then it is to cover the entire United States with over 300 million people and 20 times the area. You can say the US is behind but its kinda comparing apples to elephants.

  • @tristanludlow77. Huh? Are you saying, smaller is better? Yes, size does matter, not.

  • I'd buy that for a dollar!!!!

  • well....unlimited wireless internet IS possible and will be a reality in a couple of years...verizon has the capability to implement it..but...they dont want to....they're greedy bastards

  • Lol, 4G in sweden is 70-100 Mbit/s, LTE is called turbo 3G here and came in like 2006.

  • @EldMage Yes, we're always behind here in the states :)

  • @networkworld If I'm not mistaken, both LTE and WiMAX can be upgraded at a later date to support 100 mbps and 128 mbps respectivly. But yes, we are a good 3-4 years behind the rest of the world.

  • @networkworld because of stupid gov regulations

  • @networkworld and few more acres to cover with a few more towers :)

  • @networkworld damn thats sick..

  • @EldMage That's because current LTE and WiMax isn't even 4G, their blatantly lying to consumers because they know most will believe it, anyone who has been out of the country though know's it's total BS.

  • @highlanderhybrid Going from EDVO REV A to WiMAX or LTE... Thats a different kind of technology so technically it can be considered another generation... Compared to the rest of the world, we are on 3.2G in terms of speed that is.

  • @EldMage That's because VZW has more subscribers than Sweden has residents

  • @EldMage wow.... that's fast. ya, i've heard sweden has fast internet speeds. my home internet here in the US is 3 Mbps DSL. and you have 100 Mbps LTE.... no fair.

  • @EldMage the most powerful country in the world, with some of the worst broadband in the world, =`( yes those are tears.

  • @EldMage well you have a small peice of shit country its kinda easy to set all that stuff up. try upgrading a Continent hahah our country is bigger than your Continent.

  • @EldMage Take that America XD ... wait i live in america ugh gay -.-

  • @EldMage Yes it is faster. We don't have as much spectrum for LTE (Yet...) so its not as fast. Plus this test is weird. VZW LTE speed tests are usually 3X faster. Second. Telia does market it as 4G. Not turbo 3G. And you can get a Peak (Keyword) of 80Mbps. (Not 100). Just like you can get a peak. Of 50Mbps on VZW LTE. Oh and don't get ahead of yourself. It has only been available there since December 2009. Not 2006. LTE was just finalized in Mid 2009.

  • @EldMage yea ok whatever helps you sleep at night.

  • @EldMage in japan 4G is 1Gbps!!

  • @kilzone17 Do not say something you don't know a crap about!

  • @kklasen My uncle lives in Japan ... I say that it tests in the laboratory of NTT DoCoMo, the speed achieved 1Gbps ... Search!

  • @kilzone17 I thought we was talking about public servces, available for anyone. In sweden, this is planned to be available to public 2013.

  • @EldMage You'r correct. Stockholm and Oslo was the first with 4G on the earth. Similar to the 1 Gbps internet to home with the age of a few years.

  • @EldMage LTE is not turbo 3G. HSDPA is turbo 3G, which is an upgrade within UMTS. LTE works on total different frequency.

  • @EldMage cool

  • thats faster than my laptop on my home wifi

  • @2008PS3 Yikes! Time for a broadband upgrade!

  • Yeah, decent technology, but a terrible price and cap scheme.

The high-speed mobile internet market needs to be opened up WAY more for the economy to improve.

  • sprint 4g still wins on download but impressive on pings and uploads but sprint is mest up

  • wow thats way to much money i stick with my 3g and wifi at the house

  • The plan is frigging expensive...

  • i love the speeds but price and caps are outlandish

  • @vlad1000 Yeah, we were disappointed with the caps as well, but it seems like that's the trend now - the days of unlimited bandwidth usage, especially on new networks, are most likely gone. Thanks for the comment!

  • My upload is .765kbps, :< I would love having a slightly aster upload than download, seeing as I upload a lot more than download (p2p; seeding, and uploading to youtube, facebook, etc.)

  • your speedtest server is too far.

  • @TechCuber The speedtest server picked the middle of the country based on the IP address of the modem, not my geographical location (that sometimes happens with 3G and 4G modems that we get). I chose the closest geographical location to get the fastest latency. When I chose servers closer to where the IP address said I was, I got about the same speeds anyway.

  • @networkworld ok :P

i have another question : what if you installed mac os x on that build your own computer thing.>???

  • Youtube seems to work not that well lately. I heard just now from the video and no one have commented yet. Semms like its like that for other users too

  • @Gell1welt69 I thought it was my computer.... but also having problems playing videos.
