Our Liesl's ears are the same. When they are young, they are quite floppy and evert often. As they get older, they stop doing that so much.
Natural ears feel better to the owner's hand and present a less intimidating look, which I think is better for the dog when reading people's reaction to them.

You could tell which was the pure blood Dobermann, he kicked ass, the other looks like the cross between a German Shepard and a Dobermann.
Unless....It was a Bernese Mountain Dog which i highly doubt.
