  • oh my glob this movie is soo sad yet heart warming

  • @jada5656 Yaaaaa ikr I feel so sad ven though nothing is wrong with her she still can learn and do everything anyone else can d just in a different way

  • helen's parents not care about the dump, blind, deaf of her

  • wow what special effects at 1:29

  • i think helen's parents are very rude

  • i find this hard to masterbait to

  • I adore hellens purple dress <3

  • @apankau2 Stfu i'm not a dumb ass i know what you meen !

  • oh sweetie smelled her mom... god this movie is so sad..

  • the teacher would have been a better mom...

  • i think the mom is just jealous of annie because she is doing such a good job with helen and she is afraid her daughter and maybe her husband would rather be with her instead

  • What Year Did This Movie Cum Out ?

  • Who played Helen in this film.

  • @sugarlips090 Hallie Kate Eisenberg

  • @sar0043379 yes i know, thank you but i didnt write that. my sister must have. thanks anyway

  • Did jimmy die?

  • why doesnt that guy let annie see her brother

  • mrs chan...

  • her parents are being so selfish

  • @rinarox33 i know what you mean but they really care about her too and want to see her. They should see her for a day then give her back

  • that fresh cooked bread looks delicious

  • Her parents were stupid. They wanted her to get better, saw the remarkable improvments she was making...but weren't willing to give the person who made all those improvements more time? Why'd they hire her then.

  • its so cute when the mother and helen hugged :')

  • 1:09 she yells "Helen" as if she was going to answer back

  • My friend is deaf and I have to use this same technique on her

  • Poor Jimmie! :_(

  • great movie first time seeing it and i love it

  • poor jimmie

  • what happened to jimmy?

  • i cried at the flashback... so sad! :'(

  • Its pretty ridiculous that all the family cares about is her behaving and understanding the basics of living in the house, and don't care if she keeps learning or not. Annie wants her to reach her full potential and eventually speak. You don't stop teaching a kindergardener after he learns the alphabet and how to write...you keep advancing reading, vocabularly, and writing all through high school until they've peaked. Helen's proved she can learn, why not let her continue?

  • I cannot criticise this brave story of the Absolute courage.

  • felt sorry for annie and jimmie.

  • i thought in real life helen was with ms.sullivan for many years...

  • @PrincessMelody6 she was. Helen and Annie only had 2 weeks by themselves, but Annie stayed on with Helen until she(Annie) died. She taught Helen how to actually speak as well as more words in sign language. Annie was Helen's translator both letting other people know what Helen said and telling Helen what people were saying/doing

  • it was actually just Anne not Annie it was written on my book and on wikipedia

  • Actually Jimmie was with Annie, in truth, she pitched a fit and tey put them both in the wommens ward at the alms house. Jimmie died in his sleep from the poor conditions, thy wheeled him away in the night when Anne was asleep, when she woke up she went and found him in the mourge, and ended up waking the whole house. this is a very condensed version of te life and extremely cleaned up from the real life events

  • is sounds so so sad!!!! :-( that scene almost made me cry!!!!!

  • @angelnomorenoless It's Disney what do you expect. Course the play was also cleaned up but not as much

  • @TagaSeguchi Also to add to that. Jimmie you find in the script of the play that he had Polio.

  • @angelnomorenoless Jimmie died of tuberculosis in the alms house. It wasn't poor conditions that killed him, although they certainly didn't help him get any better.

  • @angelnomorenoless

howd u find out could u tell me the link?? i got really interested in helen keller n annie sullivan after watching this n just wanna know more am jus thoughourly amazed

  • @angelnomorenoless Yes Ann sullivan lived a horrible childhood with her brother Jimmie who had tuberculosis at her home, then her mother died, her alcoholic father left and Ann and jimmie were sent at tewksbury alms house,a hospital for sick old people and insane people too.I feel very sorry for her.Her childhood in a way is more awful and miserable than Helen's one.Helen had loving parents,Ann grew up without love and reported all her love on the blind children of Perkins.

  • @fisteberg she and helen both beat the odds of the time i guess. No wonder they linked so well.

  • Why wouldn't they let Jimmie be with Annie? Was he dying?

  • Yes, he said that they were doing all they can. She also said that her brother was all the family that she had left. In the movie, a few parts before, she said that he died 12 years ago.

  • @Whit451 yea

  • It's funny how everyone is critic!

  • @Shesnoin well for one thing the director didnt think so and she has played in many films other then this one....i love how you guys on here think you know acting when you see it

  • @amy027 Watch the original movie - and then tell me this one gave the best performance. Don't talk about what you don't know. Oh and I think the point about being a good actor is that people watching them "forget they are an actor" and believe they are the charactor - not acting" so yes you are right I did see acting in this film. "I saw acting when I saw it" spot on.

  • @Shesnoin i saw both but its just......this girl was cuter LOL
