The spoon is real in the beginning. As soon as the spoon starts moving on its own, that is where I stoped the clip, removed the spoon, and filmed just the plate. Then I used the open-source 3D animation program "Art of Illusion" to make the spoon, and Ulead Video Studio to overlay that video with the filmed background, and add in the sound effects.
