i got a turtle in my pond who had all the flesh cleaned off of his eye area, a large section. he is an adult. could he have been born like this?it is all healed, but he couldnt hear well when i came right nex to him he just ate, and when i was trying to get him in my net, he didnt even swim away. if i called the nature center they would just say to toss him back and let nature decide. but im not going to throw him back if he will get caught by a predator..whhat SHOULD I DO?!?! please reply.
How do you keep your water so clean and what protection do they have against predators? I'm setting up an outdoor tank today for my sliders (They've been inside pets for 7 years and I want them to be safe.
can i ask how often do you clean the water?

ahh, i have 3 painted turtles, their beast!! and one of them has a MISSING FOOT its really beast hahaha

That's an awesome set-up. Your turtles are cool as well. I have an RES at the moment, but I plan on getting a Western Painted in the near future.
