This is quite possible to replicate. If some of you had ever studied the forces and properties of magnetism you'd know that. The magnet in this case is pulled to the next magnet in this example because of the law of increasing attraction. As is comes around to the end it should and would normally get stuck but because of the rotation of the magnets as it comes to the end it allows it to pass the normal magnetic barrier that would stop it.

This is like reading what cavemen would write (if they could) about an eclipse. How do you think those 0-120mph rollercoasters work? Magnetism. This isn't a new discovery, look around on youtube, Im sure there are plenty of examples. Ha, everyone commenting on how he placed it "just so", neglecting to mention that after it started, he moved it throughout the vid. Sheesh, crack a physics textbook sometime. by rotating the base external energy is added. will the system run continuosly without any external contact?

You do realize that he was very careful in his placement of the base. You can also see a noticeable slowing of spin when he raises an edge to try and prove that it's self contained. Let's see him hold it in his hand and recreate the experiment.

If you look carefully, you'll see the magnet with the most tilt to it, that is the first of last one, is very close to it's adjacent magnet. I believe this magnet is actually in attraction. Try it, it seems it would be a way in the 'gate' !!!!

All the copies have their magnets too flat !! this will now work, as the opposite pole will be close enough to interfere with the stator.

Guys I made one of these but when I was hauling everything to my station to film it, the magnets ruined my camera. I've already spent about 400$ on magnets expiramenting, and I'm not about to spend any more money.

i am not skeptical of this design but it raises suspicion because of its presentation.

I agree with you. A word of caution is advised here. Each and every video so far that are poorly produced like this video in regards to magnetic motors, have all been faked. We were not given a wide shot, or allowed to see what's under the table. Nevertheless, I have made this video available on my homepage until we know otherwise.

The same video posted by FMconceptz shows better detail (watch?v=8XqWvE_CpU4&feature=r­elated). Not sure why this one is of reduced quality. I tried to slow it down (the better video, that is) to see any reflections in the magnets (coils, fans, etc.), but I didn't notice anything unusual. It would have been nice to have sound and a broader view of the device. (sigh)

dj: I understand your skepticism; however, I don't think there's a motor inside this one, as the axle is not rotating (watch the hex head in HD). It is possible that there are coils either above or below (or even off to the side) that we cannot see. Perhaps an air stream? The unit does seem to change speed with movement (notice it accelerate when the base is rotated?), which furthers my own suspicions. There are many honest people attempting to replicate it now, so time will tell...

I remarked that he is avoiding to show us the bottom of the nylon stator, therefore i suspect a fraud. Maybe he is hiding a motor there. I guess he drilled a narrow whole, then set a motor and a batery to fit in and covered with white wax. There is anyway a single picture with the backside of the white nylon stator, on peswiki site and it is noticeable a dark spot in the middle of the bottom. Can everyone see it?
