  • She did a good job! this song is not an easy song to do but she nailed it!

  • she did a good job!!!! and i respect her cause you never hear people covering a toni braxton song!!!! but if i had to choose a version its toni`s all the way!!!!!!

  • She sings it better than toni...just my opinion..love her and CHARICE

  • @sherwinerivera3 I said the same thing. I like Deborah's version a little better than Toni's...But I still love them both!

  • great job!!! a rare clip...love the smoothness of deborah cox's voice...slightly different from toni but love them both..they each have different voice, strength and styles.could really see deb's singing this her way..GREAT!!

  • LOL people are too funny. If she was singing this song at her own concert that is one thing but she is doing the song with the person who composed the song, at HIS concert. Unless she started the song saying "I can sing this song better than Toni" what does it matter?

  • @islandurban The song was written by a lady, Diane Warren. I enjoyed Deborah's version also. This is a great song. It's Toni's signature song, but others should not get upset because another singer does it. Why everything is seen as a competition these days?

  • @iriear Now all we need is Toni singing "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here" and they can be even and everyone can be satisfied ;)

  • She suck.... Leave it to Toni Braxton.... That shit was garbage

  • @CHICAGOSPEED She does not suck. Deboarh is a fantastic vocalist.

  • @ThePianoguy89 Yes she is! Deborah killed this song! I love it!

  • Amazing...

  • i wacth toni sing this live and now when i see deborah proform this i honestly have to say deborah cox ,sing it better to me,its just my opinion,.

  • Se sale

  • Debra sang it very, very well, yes she did!!! but Toni's deep, emotional and sensual vocals told the story much better that is what makes the song an outstanding success.

  • I like Debs version. Her range is wider than that of Toni's. The latter should be thankful, the song was given to her. I love them both but Deborah just nailed this one.

  • @may1978a totall agree... i love toni braxton's deep voice, but this version is so sweet and more endearing, due to Deb's voice. i prefer this one now!

  • Woot woot Debbiei that was really superb!

    BeckyM

  • Wow! Deborah Cox singing Unbreak My Heart and she nailed it.

  • Amazing!

  • OMG!!!! that was AWESOME!!!!! =D

  • She is an amazing vocalist but I still prefer Toni's rendition.

Deborah unfortunately lacks charisma. Toni owns the stage.

And her vocal style,is more remarkable than Deborah's even though Deborah's range is bigger!!

    I'm glad Toni's back!!

  • shes always amazing !!!! thanks for sharing !!!!!!!

  • never heard such a wonderful rendition so far until this performance..the technicality of her voice ignite..such a talent..kudos for deborah cox!

  • freaking AMAZING - oh wow, I am truly in awe! How glad am I that Deborah kept her vocal delivery SO close to Toni's original vocal, even down to the "wooo!" at 4:07. Girl's got some Michelle Obama arms! very muscular! hehe :) Oh, and I love LOVE LOVE the part at 3:12 "say youu-u-u-u-l-l-l-o-o-o-o-ove me again" that swooping "you" where it goes up in pitch - one of the Toni Braxton remixes cut that part out, which I always hated! Way to go Deb - AWESOME video!!!!!

  • Deborah seems to be underrated here in the U.S. just like Charice before in the Philippines. Both are undeniably terrific singers and pretty, too. I'm a fan of both of them.

  • Why is this song in the David Foster concert?

It was written by Dianne Warren for Toni Braxton. Did he produce it? Weird..

  • This song was written by D. Warren and was produced and arranged by D. Foster in 1996. It earned Toni Braxton numerous awards that year including the much coveted Grammy's for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Female. Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" lost over Braxton that year,

  • @sandyboi69 Yes he was on eof the producers Diane wrote the song for Celine Dion actually but she turned it down....

  • I like her style, her voice suited with that song... I noticed she had no bad low range she did a great job

  • YES! Canada represents!

  • nice rendition of deborah. great performance

  • wow ...perfect

  • This is quite nice version but Toni has set a higher standard to this song with a better range of great low registers to high notes. Good one Deborah. She has a bit of whitney sound if not mistaken

  • whaat a great voice she got! now im a fan of her hehe...

  • I like the sound and tone of Toni Braxton's voice better but Deborah Cox did a good job if I had not heard Toni's version I think the sound would suit her too. But Toni voice sound more suited for the low registers than anybody else. JMO

  • amazing!!!! deborah..

  • Very nice rendition. Perfect!!

  • great camcorder with that much power on zooming. thanks for sharing! we've seen the L.A. concert tour. great concert!!!

  • OMG IM LOVING THIS

  • deborah, pls. unbreak my heart:D, you're so SEXY! very nice rendition, WOW!

  • Well done Deborah. Congratulations!

  • A new fan of yours ...Deb........Powerful voice...thanks for uploading behind scenes..... Charice, Ruben and you......

    Good luck......

  • i saw dis live.. i was there. deborah has an amazing voice!!! always ur fan.

  • @rukiaorihime328, did you see Charice version during the latest David Foster tour in Vegas? what do you think?

  • i love ur voice deborah. u rock!!!

  • Someday, soon, David Foster will let Charice sing this hard song in their tour/concert and everyone will be satisfied! For now, let us enjoy their rendtions and many beautiful songs written by a great composer/musician like David Foster! Charice will have all the chance to let David know that she can also handle all his songs, in a very beautiful manner! We have heard it all already, right?

  • i think she is even better to ms. braxton

  • Deborah did an AWESOME job on this song. Her vocal prowess is matchless! Just listen to her vocal power, tone and diction!

  • No F words here Lowlander. And oh yes, you do know who Charice is. Scary isn't it.

  • I didn't say Charice couldn't sing this particular song. I'm referring to the fact that...on the tour...others should be able to sing diva songs, not just her.

  • syrus80 & ToniHighlander:

Before saying another comment about Charice's ability to sing any Diva's song, watch and listen first to this:It's rendered in a higher key too!!

    watch?v=Jir1mWgldkM

By the way Debra Cox did a wonderful rendition of this song and her interpretation of Through the Fire is spellbinding!!!

  • toni...charice was great singing this song too i've seen it heard it if you want to know who charice is just type charice unbreak my heart and it will come up there you go watch it you will see for yourself

  • Deborah Cox does a great job with this song made popular by Toni, although it was written by David Foster and is his composition and his tour therefore he can have anyone he chooses to sing it. The man owns the song. Great job Deborah Cox.

  • @jbird46 Ur right but he didn't write it. Diane Warren wrote it. David produced it.

  • @jbird46 It was written by Diane Warren not David Foster he was a producer on the track but it was written by Diane and was actually written for Celine Dion but she turned it down and "Because You Loved Me" was written for Toni and she turned that down and switched with Ms. Dion and that's the story of how the song became the second biggest selling single by a female of all time....

  • @SexyLiLLeilaniMya Thats awesome i love "music history" Where did you find this out?

  • @BabyBoy8967 Toni spoke about it in an interview during her run in Vegas I beloeve there is a copy of the interview here on Youtube if I find it I'll fwd it to you hun for sure and I love "Music History" too its always fun!

  • @SexyLiLLeilaniMya wow cool! yesss please let me know if you find it. =)

  • @jbird46 produced by him but written by diane warren...

  • @jbird46 Yes she does, so dos Phil Perry, however it's still Tony's however due to her own stupidity, she can't profit from it or sing it anymore, unless allowed. Tony signed her rights stupidly away, instead pf having managers watch over managers she stupidly believed their words, and lost everything. I still think about how stupid that was, trusting a team who sold her down the river causing a major break in her career, causing her to almost lose everything.

  • @cammicty this song seem like Deborah would have, when i first heard it lol..........

  • I do agree that Charice can also do justice to this song which was originally popularized by Toni Braxton. "Unbreak my Heart " is kind of a difficult song to sing but I have seen and heard Charice sing it and she did really GREAT because she is young and her vocals are much more flexible and can shift from low to high notes.WHy didn't David Foster make Charice sing other songs too????

  • Mariaarlynable....you asked why didn't DF let charice sing other songs??? very simple...the title is DF and Friends...not CHARICE'S concert...charice sings 3 or 4 songs here..isn't it too much if she sings more than that and other artists sing 2 songs? DF is just being fair.we all love this girl , we want her to sing all the good songs...but please be considerate to others...greed will lead us to nowhere...WAIT for her real concert and she will have it....ALL.

  • watch out ur mouth dude..did i say something wrong?i don't want to argue with u bout the original singer because us right that is toni's song ...i am just saying bout there performance that they did it great and i really like it...perdiod!

  • let charice sing this song.....

  • ?????????????????????????????????????

  • This song was a bit too low for her to sing and it showed. She did a better job with the other song she sang.

  • I love me some Deb Cox BUT I've never heard anyone else do this song justice other than Toni Braxton

  • The thing I like about this performance is that Deb's diction is perfect. I don't have to struggle to figure just what she's singing. That said, I sense that 'Through The Fire' was more in Deb's sweetspot. The opening verse here is a wee bit too low for Deb to really wrap herself around the words.

Deb did a wonderful job. This is a Toni classic.

  • she's ok. toni sounds better singing this song. and she messes up the words... poor poor girl. but her voice is decent. however toni kills this song each and ever time she sings it. it was like this song was meant for ms. braxton

  • wow she sounds like my girl Toni in the intro...! she's a great singer..underrated unfortunately...

but i like Toni's voice more...its so unique! one of the most recognizeable in the industry..

  • SO SO AT ITS BEST

  • at some point she kinda sound like whitney ya? she's amazing powerful voice. i've watched this many times cuz i jst love her rendition. i cn feel what's she's singing.

  • She's G R E A T! I Love her voice! Thanks TheJannie for this wonderful job. Crystal clear vid & sound.

  • thanks for sharing!

  • one of mi favorite songs of all time and she did an amazing job n_n
