  • Excellent. I will be doing this style over the week end for Xmass. Thanks

  • A great way to keep the hair in good shape. All the moisture locked inbetween a protextive fiber. I bet natural wool would be ideal. A lot of yarn is made acrylic. Yarn braiding is grass roots, from the land of the African people. I am down with that 100%... Bless

  • @SheilaDang52 Wool would lock your hair which is why most people who simply use yarn braids as a protective style choose acrylic. Acrylic is the safest to use.

  • I love the way you explain then say 'Let's Go'.... :-D

  • @MegaStrongBlackWoman haaa! I was good n preggers!! LOL!! :)

  • I love your hair...I think I'm gonna try that!!!!

  • @GodAndMePlus3 thanks ! really easy! I haven't rocked them in a year but they are awesome! I'll re-vist them soon!

  • I think is a great hairstyle and economic friendly for the broke college student like me lol Im wondering if i can do it as a two strand twist instead of braids?

  • @Smiddleton0233 yep I've saw that before.. check out Icw26 she did that!! :)

  • Do you find it very hard to take out the yarn braids? About how long do you keep them in?

  • @bla265ke VERY EASY, THE LONGEST WAS 6 WEEKS

  • Did you burn the ends, and then dip them in hot water? or did you just dip them in hot water only? Please explain...THX! You totally rock :)

  • @mzbonitap yes ma'am I burned the ends first..then afterwards I put them in plaits and dip them in hot water !! :) hope this helps! thanks !

  • I JUST LEARNED ABOUT THE YARN TECHNIQUE. BEAUTIFUL!

  • Too cute. I feel a Protective Style coming on...LOL

  • @holyghostcarrier LOL!!!! I so feel ya!!!! :)

  • They are beautiful!!! I need to do some on my hair...time for a break from my twa! lol.

  • @NaturallyCreole thanks girl!! I'm sorry I 'm one of those naturals that feels that what helps is tucking my hair away ..I just don't do right with twist alone so I have to go this route LOL!!! :) I tried!

  • So cute and I just took my YB's out but I didn't have a choice because they were so slipping so bad...I cannot for the life of me get them to grip to the root of my hair tight enough. I notice that because I am transitioning I still have straight hair so its so hard to braid like that....seems when the hair is natural it acts better braiding. I might put some back in the end of this month though with that technique.

  • @lisa9047 yes ma'am I've never been the one to get "grips" while braiding but I've found these little tips to help... the "slight tug" and trust none ever fall out!! :) thanks!

  • Girl you have patience! Thanks for the vid! It is easy to follow and very simple to do. Great results!

  • @SimplYounique thanks hun, the tutorial is just like me "SIMPLE" lol!! yes I just knew she would come while having half a head done!!! haa

  • @KCC..good job and good tutorial ..now do mommy hair.LOL :)

  • @godservan haaaaaaaaa! pray for the energy I have a newborn on the way LOL!

  • So you know I'm using this technique for my next set, right? lol This was is extremely easier than what the heck I was over there doin! Each one teach one LOL! Thanks sis :)

  • @mayaangelique lol , girl I couldn't catch on and it was taking me so much time when I did ..yes me we all work and learn from each other woohoo!! no problem sis!

  • Dont laugh at me, but I thought yarn braids was just the name. I didnt know they were ACTUALLY yarn, lol. I just knew I liked them and wanted to try them. Guess you learn something new everyday. Btw, they look really cute.

  • @Iamsonotmyhair me either don't feel bad !! they are super cute and easy to manage too!!! I love them.. yep we learn everyday!

  • This is the easiest tutorial on Yarn Barns i've seen so far... Thanks for sharing.... I will definitely try this... Looks Great... :-)

  • @wamj68 awwww *smiling* thanks doll!!!! please do let me know if u do!!

  • Cute

  • @fastwlkr1 thank ya!

  • @Kinkycurlycoil, I truly love your yarn braids. I will have to get me a doll head to practice. I can do flat twists on my daughter's hair but cannot braid. I will need to learn very soon so that I can stop paying someone else to do my hair. Excellent video.

  • I wear yarn twists and I make medium-sized twists, similiar to yours. It only takes six hours and I love how they turn out.

Yours look very good. I love the two colors.

  • @NappyNFree exactly!! takes less time I thought it would look silly with the thicker and bigger parts but no ma'am getting plenty of compliments thanks!!!

  • Your braids are sooo pretty! btw how much yarn did you use?

  • @dione082003 I used 1 full black yarn and a few pieces of brown I wanted the "high light look"...if u do the two tone then u can figure how u want your "highlights" to set by holding them up in a ponytail after u finish but u don't need that many of them to pull the look off. :) any more question please ask!! :)

  • ok so ima do mine like that next time...so cute and eeasy...

  • @LethalPleazure oh yes girl.. easy took less time girl!!!! trust! thx!

  • Thx fo the video :-)

  • @25kimt no problem!! :)

  • I agree, the braids are beautiful!! I'm definitely going to try them since it's getting cooler!! It's the perfect opportunity to do so.

  • @patree79 sooo true it's getting cool and it's keeping me warm LOL!!! thanks!

  • they look beautiful!!!
