  • Outstanding,

    Thanks

  • Beautiful work. I only paddle centered and low in windy conditions. When it's calm as in your video I paddle from the stern. Very nice series of videos. Thanks for sharing what it takes to build a strip canoe.

  • just watched all your vids and was really impressed with your attention to detail and most of all your patience. i know for sure if i attempted this project there would be some interesting language coming from my mouth. congrats on the boat! thanks for the vids

  • Liked it a lot.

  • Low on your knees in the middle of the canoe close to one gunwale or the other is a far superior paddling position when solo. Try it ... tons more control and stability.

  • When you were on the lake or River, how come you didnt use the seat, was it too high?

  • you are a very good instructor and enjoyed your video. how can i get plans for the form etc. looks like the canoe is very stable in the water also.

  • I got started with a book called 'Canoecraft'' by Ted Moores, now published by Firefly Books (latest edition, 2007). I eventually diverged from his canoe building system, but I used his form plans for the Chestnut Prospector. The canoe is very stable and maneuverable in the water. Good luck with yours!

  • Staisfaction in a job well done, it looks great!
