  • Brothers Voice & Thiruvarur Shri Bhakthavatsalam Mridanga Vaadan. All artist R Best.

  • Absolutely amazing. I learnt this song a couple years ago, and this is the best version that i've heard so far. You sang it better than Nithyasree and Sudha Ragunathan in my opinion. You guys make the Toronto Carnatic Music community proud. Keep up the awesome work! I hope you guys do another show sometime in Toronto, I would enjoy coming. :)

  • Adambakkam sankar(ghatam artist) performance was excellent.

  • HAHHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA Mr Bhaktavatsalam playing really made me laugh.

  • lol very different from KRM eh

It makes me wonder how KRM would play to beautiful pieces like these. Unfortunately I havent seen many KRM concerts online or live. But I can only imagine.

P.s Don't diss up respected mridangists even if you think they're a joke. keep that to urself. but i can see what made u laugh :p

  • Actually Mr Bhaktavatsalam is one of my favourite.

KRM hits the mridangam very hard.

  • @sonofthedestroyer would you mind elaborating on what about Bhaktavatsalam's playing made you laugh? I am curious to know, especially from someone who is so educated in the field of Indian music that he thought a pakhawaj was two tablas tied together sideways..

  • Really beautiful Revathi is a fabulous raga capable of melting the listener

  • great vocal range

  • srikanth is the man- i think he was on tour with abishek raghuram(grandson of Palghat Raghu aka next legend of Carnatic Music) and ganapathy raman (student of rajarao) on the east coast of US for several weeks in march and april...if any of you have heard abishek raghuram, it's hard to support him without being overshadowed by his brilliance but srikanth does a wonderful job just as he does with any performance.

  • Mysore Srikanth is super support. Violin steals the show :-)

  • you guys should release a CD! id buy it:)

  • lalgudi jayaraman is amazing!

  • Baktavatsalam is living true to the programme title - 2007 World Drum Ensemble, Toronto, Canada. He is playing mridangam like a western drum. No pun intended.

  • Have you listened to TVG playing Adi Taalam in CD Laya Tharangam?

  • I have listened to almost all the casettes (the CD's are only a remake of the casettes) including TVG's (though I don't remember the name of the casette). Being a mridangist myself, in my opinion, each one have some good things.

  • really good.

  • Very pleasant. Young generation is our future to progress the rich Indian classical music. Please post a Krithi of Karnataka Sangeeta Pitamaha Purdandara Daasa. Thanks.

  • bakthavatsalam sir was awesome

    omg

i wish i cud play like dat

  • Outstanding rendition of another extraordinary composition by Lalgudi ....

  • mridangam stole the show

  • super
