We do some bodyboarding up here in Cape Breton , N.S. Cool North Atlantic waters and 0 experience but more hurricanes mean better waves. No matter how numb our feet get we stay out for the big ones.

I regularly swim at Ocean Beach.

@sandieguitoadult I think there is a woman who bodysurfs it. I talked to her one day at Ross's cove close to Mavericks about 10 years ago. She bodysurfs big Ocean Beach in San Francisco which gets huge. She has a PhD in astrophysics from Stanford or something like that. She's really cool.

Yes, I realize this one is poor form. It was my first time out at a place way larger than any bodyboarders were hitting at the time, save Stewart & Kafka (the only other sponger to hit Mavs at the time). There were no films to study back then; it was still a complete mysto spot & I was high as a kite! I was more concerned with survival than style. I caught chop on the drop that knocked my elbow out of place as it launched me (I get airborne at the start of the drop, land & launch again). Mahalo!
