I strongly believe most of your points, probably all of them, are accurate. The more and more I look at anti-Twilight videos, the more I see many points come to view much more clearly than they did when I was just getting over Twilight. Compared to other books, it really has no sensible plot. I'm sure that everyone likes a bit of fluff, but what about the really action and meaningful lessons. Ok if the first film wasn't enough.. as it was, Emo girl falls in love with Emo Vampire. Now it's.. Emo Girl loves Emo Vampire and Werewolf. Durpah Durp. Honestly, the whole film was ALL about complications with accepting love and commitments and yadi yadi yadi.. there was hardly any action or any interesting special effects. It was all rather boring.
I've read the book and saw the movie Let the right one in, it's a lot like twilight in that a human falls for a vampire, and it's much, much better. The vampire in that story shows real emotional distress-- having no family, completely alone, doesn't show much emotion in the book, showing you how she has lost some of her humanity, and in the movie she shows more of it-- particularly when it comes to killing in order to stay alive.
In short, it's a real vampire story, not that shit that tries.

Yeah, but the thing is, they die in a tragic way and their life changes drastically, obviously. Bella and Edward don't really experience that. I strongly believe most of your points, probably all of them, are accurate. The more and more I look at anti-Twilight videos, the more I see many points come to view much more clearly than they did when I was just getting over Twilight. Compared to other books, it really has no sensible plot. I'm sure that everyone likes a bit of fluff, but what about the really action and meaningful lessons. I've read the book and saw the movie Let the right one in, it's a lot like twilight in that a human falls for a vampire, and it's much, much better. The vampire in that story shows real emotional distress-- having no family, completely alone, doesn't show much emotion in the book, showing you how she has lost some of her humanity, and in the movie she shows more of it-- particularly when it comes to killing in order to stay alive.
In short, it's a real vampire story, not that shit that tries.

this is related to people who call her book literature, it's a novel but not literature. a piece of literature is something that has substance and will relate to people in a couple hundred years and can be re-read and re-read and every time you'll find something new. Every character is suppose to be believable. i.e. Don Quixote (past). And recent authors like John Fowles and Margaret Atwood are creators of literature. It's an insult to them to put Stepanie Meyer in the same category as them

Yeah, but the thing is, they die in a tragic way and their life changes drastically, obviously. Bella and Edward don't really experience that. I mean, Bella goes through a depression because Edward left her (I think that's pathetic and degrades women, showing them that they can't think for themselves). There are repercussions for dating a vampire, and the story doesn't seem to show that other than werewolves tracking you down-- gay, seen that before.
