Too many people use only one style of composing and it pisses me off....You can compose in any genre of music....I don't have money to learn it....So,I don't believe all of this hype.
Neat comp! Although I would've loved to have seen Neil Baldwin represented. He was an amazing NES composer (Magician, Ferrari Grand Prix, Erik the Viking, etc...), and he's developed new software for making music on the NES.
I also wonder if there's another explanation for the shift in Japanese/ European dominance to Japanese/ American dominance in vgm. Because the Europeans were more prolific than US composers for a platform like the NES. Harder to name US guys... (David Warhol and co?)
Die Hard Trilogy kicked ass! I loved that game and its music so much when I was 10!

probably because they are classically trained. where as others are not so you hear a different style from them.
