I voted for Obama because he promised to bring jobs back. Instead he got a health bill passed that no one even read so God knows whether it's good, bad or indifferent. Meanwhile people continue to be laid off and lose their homes. If they had jobs, they could buy their own health insurance. We continue to give billions in handouts to nations like Pakistan that absolutely hate us and other nations that violate human rights while people in this country are homeless and hungry.

This guy is right on. I own a staffing company and today have four of seven new employees no show on new temp to hire positions. They came directly from the unemployment or should I say the welfare office. As long as we keep extending benefits they'll continue to collect. For too many work is a four letter word.

The facts are that if Obama feels he 'inherited' this economy as he said today 8/31/11, then why did he run for president - presidents fix things, they don't go on vacations and then blame everybody but themselves. He's made things worse - look at the numbers - time for a change - this time a change back to Americanism - not a Euro-America.
Just for the record, the national debt when number 43 took office was $5,727,776,738,304.64. When number 44 took office it was $10,626,877,048,913.08. As of today, it is somewhere around $14,624,792,689,793.86. As you can see, we're adding to the date at a much faster rate than before. Number 44 has added almost as much to the debt in 2.5 years as #43 did in 8. At this rate, I hate to see what #45 will do one day.

When Obama took over, we had a 1.4 TRILLION dollar DEFICIT, 2 unfunded wars, the tax rates had been lowered (with HUGE tax cuts on capital gains and high-income earners that the republicans refuse to give up), and the worst recession since 1929!
Now to make matters worse, everything he TRIES to do that (tax credits to businesses for hiring new employees, etc) the republicans vote NO.
@bcpnatl I have a question. If Clinton left Bush a surplus, why did the national debt go up every year of Clinton's administration? As an accountant, I can tell you that it shouldn't have. It should have gone down, or, at the very least, stayed the same, but that's not what happened. The Treasury Department's own numbers show that it increased every year under President Clinton. I know everyone reports this "surplus," but the numbers don't back it up.
@drthomparks WHY was there a so called surplus. Clintons first 2 years were spent running to the left and spending like good democrat do. Then Gingrinch and company got control of congress. Spending is controlled by congress. Clinton had to tack right to get some of the things he wanted, that includes spending cuts. It was the republicans who pushed for a balanced budget and to cut spending. Spending less gives you a surplus not spending more. Clintons "surplus" was projections that never were.
Both parties are to blame for the state of affairs, didn't take one term to get where we are, won't take one term to get out of it. As for #43? I do believe the national debt was nonexistant and we had a bit put back to boot when he took office... so, not a party thing, just a dumb ass redneck thing.

Just for the record, the national debt when number 43 took office was $5,727,776,738,304.64. When number 44 took office it was $10,626,877,048,913.08. As of today, it is somewhere around $14,624,792,689,793.86. As you can see, we're adding to the date at a much faster rate than before. Number 44 has added almost as much to the debt in 2.5 years as #43 did in 8. At this rate, I hate to see what #45 will do one day.

When Obama took over, we had a 1.4 TRILLION dollar DEFICIT, 2 unfunded wars, the tax rates had been lowered (with HUGE tax cuts on capital gains and high-income earners that the republicans refuse to give up), and the worst recession since 1929!
Now to make matters worse, everything he TRIES to do that (tax credits to businesses for hiring new employees, etc) the republicans vote NO.

@bcpnatl I have a question. If Clinton left Bush a surplus, why did the national debt go up every year of Clinton's administration? As an accountant, I can tell you that it shouldn't have. It should have gone down, or, at the very least, stayed the same, but that's not what happened. The Treasury Department's own numbers show that it increased every year under President Clinton. I know everyone reports this "surplus," but the numbers don't back it up.

@drthomparks WHY was there a so called surplus. Clintons first 2 years were spent running to the left and spending like good democrat do. Then Gingrinch and company got control of congress. Spending is controlled by congress. Clinton had to tack right to get some of the things he wanted, that includes spending cuts. It was the republicans who pushed for a balanced budget and to cut spending. Spending less gives you a surplus not spending more. Clintons "surplus" was projections that never were.

Both parties are to blame for the state of affairs, didn't take one term to get where we are, won't take one term to get out of it. As for #43? I do believe the national debt was nonexistant and we had a bit put back to boot when he took office... so, not a party thing, just a dumb ass redneck thing.

Doesnt matter really who or which party got us in this sorry state of affairs,,all that matters is that we all know "WE DO HOLD THE HAMMER" AND THEY ARE ALL JUST RUSTY NAILS,,time fro REAL change!!!
