What some fail to realize is that traditional European werewolves were indistinguishable from real wolves when in wolf form. It was early Hollywood and their reliance on makeup = special effects that required the "half wolf half man" monster. They simply could not do a realistic wolf that followed direction.

It's that they needed a man to hunt anyway and Gabriel was killed 2 birds with one stone: getting a man for the pack to hunt and teaching bad humans a lesson. Because as gabriel said the man was selling poison (I think heroine wiv the description) to young adults which to them are children. I think it was actually quite an honorable thing that they did.

ugh, the scene with the red ribbon is just so beautiful. Even though this was not one of my favorite movies, it's always on my mind. Like, there were better movies, but they were also more forgettable. And everytime I think of this movie (which is often- it just pops up in my mind), I can see the red ribbon falling. it's just such beautiful scenery. The director really nailed it.

We should all know by now that movies based off books will never convert to the book itself. The last Harry Potter that came out in theatres was epic - but then when I read the book, I realized that the movie actually ruined the book's original plot-details completely. Most of the time, when movies do follow the book, it ends up being a lullably for the eyes. This book was not good enough to be a movie to me, but they should've added its more vital scenes from it into this movie.
