are audioque amps alot better then hifonics? i paid the extra $80+ for an audio 1200d instead of a hifonics HFI1500 because i heard hifonics were overrated

@Bryd3n i have a 2200d . i also have a 1200.1 and compared to my kicker kx1200.1 i like the audioque more. i kinda feel like my kicker had more power but the audioque as so much cleaner. and i just love my 2200d on my hdc3s. theres only a few amps i would rather have if your talking in the 2k range.

does the aq1200 have good sound quality? reason for asking is because i read on alot of comments that it uses the same board as hifonics. does the aq sound way better that a hifonics?  I currently have a crunch amp made by maxxsonics which makes hifonics also. and it does not put close to rated wattage (500 out of 2000 and it comes with 80amp fuse) and sounds really distored especially on the higher hz.

just for everybodies info the aq subs can be tuned real low Ive got my 15" aq's tuned to 33hz in a 7.75cft box with an aq2200d, just make sure the amps subsonic setting is set to accommodate box tuning. btw aq equipment have no doubt is built like a tank. Aq is same bloodline as dd audio so to speak, and well worth every penny.

the aq3500d is over 4k watts at 14 volts or normal car voltage, so i think it will destroy a fi bl.

nice im really thinking about getting this sub, becuase FI is out of 15" BL's and this is just as good but cheaper... only problem is my box mounting depth is like .3" to short....do u think i could make it work if i put another peice of like 1/2" mdf on top of the top 3/4th to raise it up just a bit? it might look alittle funny though...

i know this is a little late but AQ uses the same boards as hifonics....except the AQ list real specs....like the aq2200d is the same as hifonics bxi2600 series and the aq 1200d is the same as the hifonics bxi1600 series

They do not use the same board, they look the same but are totally different, the mosfets and output transistors handle different power and are diffrent..I repair amps and have seen them and I own 2 of the 2608d amps and 1 aq 1200 and 2200...

It;s like comparing a stock neon motor to mine that looks stock but they diffrent, or comapring a stock alt to after market, they look same but are not

its 4.2 tuned to 38hz only on the low low notes does it move alot i would still go with the aq2200..i plan on putting 2k on mine in the next couple of months
